actually i have one big doubt , Now a days Fuel pump is making lots of loud humming noise even if u tankup ( full tank ) what is the issue..? or is it normal

Hi ,I have an apache rtr 160 bought it last year im a student so i commute almost 30 kms everyday.I have a "non-bearable and embarassing

" sound from the rear brake of my bike surely because of water ...but i dont think that water should easily enter in that rear drum brake??? :S ...and another problem is whenever i go over some small potholes or some uneven road i get "thud" sound from my front shockers [i think] and the rear shockers also give sounds.The bike also stops anytime whenever i go to lower speeds even if the engine is warm ...i have complained to The SC guys but they do nothing plz help ...i dont even feel to touch my bike now

sorry if i have gone OT or missed it in the thread.Any help would be appreciated.

What is the Odo reading?
if the SVC isn't doing anything then shoot a mail to higher officials of TVS they will surely take care of it.
I Think you need to change your spark plug and carb cleaning is required!
Moreover the squeaking sound from the rear brake isn't because of water,it happens when the rear brake pads gets smooth and hence don't have much grip!So the rear wheel jams and skids!

Odometer reads 5038kms ..i dont rip my bike and the sound from the rear brake has been problem, started since 500-600kms reading.I had complained about it a lot to the SC guyz but they do some temporary fix and the sound starts again

always gives "thud" sound i am very unhappy with my bike

Coincidence lol 'including the same bikes' ...but i have the nick from years :/ and i do own a Razer abyssus imported from UAE^^ ....any help about my problem?

I am not getting,what do you mean by the "thud" sound?
the number plate hitting the front fender?
are you running lean? engine heats up quickly?

adding to that i also had same problems

when ever i hit a pothole some sound comes from console region , pointed it to svc he told it happenes usually as people tend to check if bike is locked or not and push handle which will coz some nut to go loose

dont know wht he did but its not there now sry i dont remember the details , check if you are running lean , i was running lean for extra mileage and engine knocks started due to this also i was getting that sound

How to check if the AF mixture is lean?? Idling is at 1000 and yeah the engine goes hot very quick i dont know that sound is from the headlight region or shocker but it is there whenever i go on a uneven region

and yeah engine also knocks a lot even picking up on 2nd gear :P

Well my handle is rusting(a 10 mm rust line near the pt wr RVM connects)...n its increasing...will they change the handle or apply a anti corrosion oil.Which is advisable?5000 on odo

well i also feel that thud sound from console...its scary like d console mite fall..

from slow speed while acceleration the engine dies off.Is it the spark plug? The SC guyz here i feel are worthless they do nothing except oil change and washing

1> if Thud sound coming from front fork there are chances that Fork need tightening / or it might be because of cone set ( one i faced same issue my SVC mech changed con set and everything was fine . ) . For Thud sound from rear . chances are good it is mainly because of LOOSE CHAIN

. go to SVC or any local meh and ask him to tight Chain and see weather sound is coming or not.

2> Now for 2nd prob ( highlighted in red ) Is Bikes engine Ilde's @/ between 1100 to 1300 RPM...? Do u need to blip throttle every time when every ur stopping @ signals just to keep engine running ..? try to set ur idling first ( its just a 2mins job ) make sure that your bike Idle's @ 1200RPM...

and after words if nothing help's try carb tuning ( i own efi so cannot explain about carb tuning )

Hmmm. I own a double disc 160. I had some similar noises. I thought it was the brake first but then found out that rear wheel bearings had worn out. Changed it and bike was back to normal.

Finally 50,000 kms on the odo and now its 65,000 kms on total! And this was on sunday!

Phew, i thought i'll never get to see this. Atleast this speedo is still going strong

Hit 124kmph with me as a pillion after this!

1) The service centre people are useless

i told that i have this problem and they use to tighten the screws which fasten the headlight and the sound use to stop for a day or two and again starts.Now after 2 services they tell me it's something with the front shocker......

2)idling at 1000 RPM,No i dont blip it,The bike dies off on it's own whenever it want

...nothing related to the spark plug?

Rear wheel bearing gets worn out so quickly? i had prob this problem since 1000kms on the odo
