Guys, has the Disc plate cost been reduced??? Previosuly when i enquired they had quoted me around 1400rs. i got it changed today and it was roughly around 900

Really shocked to see that today. Till now no fall or any sort of mistakes made on the bike. Why suddenly it would come loose.
And No brother, the shake isn't normal. A small pressure is shaking the fuel tank. Though it goes back to center while no pressure is given. Will see what SVC do.

You can try MRF Zapper FS 90/90-17. I've bought and fitted on my bike recently. It is really good.

Take it easy man, Have you done your 1st servicing? If you check your bike's all nuts then you'll see 30% nuts are loose. It is normal behavior in BD on a new bike. Take it to the service center, they will fix it or you can do it yourself also. There is one nut under the seat. Mine did also, tightened the nut but result wasn't as expected, then cut a rubber from a tube and place it under the nut then tightened. Now it's rock solid.

Well, I have ran over many bumpy roads....may be that could happen. and thanks for the suggestion that will help. Rubber under the nut and then tightening? any rubber would do?

Its normal I guess,all the apache I have seen have a *loose* tank which kinda moves when you push it with your hands.
Just tighten the nut.
I guess that happens cause apache's tank only has 1 nut rather than 2.

No idea about it,but you could have done facing of the disc on lathe machine,so to reduce the uneven surface of the disc.

True. Issue sorted out.

Just tightening the nut helped a lot. in SVC they told me to check new Hyperedges to get mind-satisfaction. And when I pushed new bikes tank just a bit it moved right and left. So seems another characteristics of our babies.

Report:

Gearbox : Smooth. Till 250KM Gear shift was very very hard. Now it needs no force to gear shifting. Just small push with toe works very good. I feel gearbox run in is complete for my busy traffic 20-40KM/h continuous varying speed riding.

Engine :

• Smoothness : The engine is just OK. As I am in run in, never tried to go over 4K. But in first gear 5K,6K seems harsh enough.
• Knocking : I have run at 18-19KM/h at 5th gear without any kind of knocking the engine was RPMing at 1.7-1.9K RPM. So it was good I say. Thanks to my Busy traffic city for that.
• Sound : Engine sounds grunty. Feels like bigger engine.
• Temperature : After using Castrol Activ 20W40 engine seems to heat less. After 75 KM on ODO [ after oil change ] , never felt that much heat on leg.
• Ringing noise : Yes, that's very irritating. But wearing helmet that sound can't be heard. I believe that is the sound of tappet.
• Engine comes to life with just 1 kick in coldest morning. It was not like that before changing oil.

Exhaust Note :
My god man, that's where that bike blows. Silencer sound is very very very nice. Some times sounds like a FFE.

Mileage :
OK. For run in period, Carb settings are made rich for much petrol intake so that piston sealing becomes more perfect. I am counting mileage by Full Tank to Full tank method.

Oil Change - Castrol Activ 20W40
Bolt tightening
Tyre pressure measure
Cleaning Spark - Plug
Air Filter Cleaning
Rear screeching Sound
Washing Bike

Yes I will do them in front of me.
That's my review for RTR Hyperedge 2011. I am quite happy with that.

^^^ Woah Dude you shouldnt Ride at 5th gear in apache at 18 kmph speed !!! min speed for 5th gear should be 35~38 according to me so that engine doesnt get stressed.RTR simply is not like other commuter bikes, you cant or should is say you shouldnt try to pull from 2nd gear @ <10kmph speed also , you should put it in 1st gear unless you are going down a hill its fine these things wont matter, For better Engine Life always try to follow this shift up at 4kpm and higher and shift down when it touches 3krpm

Nope bro, it was worn out to dangerous levels. Thickness was lesser than half, so i had to replace it at any cost!

No compromise on braking

Got the bike back from servicing. Replaced

1. Disc Plate and pads (front)
2. Rear foot pegs
3. Rear brake shoe
4. 300V Motul FS

Repaired the main stand and silencer shield. Work was done in front forks but i still have some issue's with it. Pick up has increased a lot and it lot more smoother now. but tappets are crying a lot! have to drop the bike @ SVC for a day to get all this done and a teflon coat too (finally after 3 years )

Bike is currently at 67k kms!

Well I am thinking of re painting the exhaust,rust has formed on it!

Not much of a use. have tried it earlier, it peels of easily. if your bike is still under warrenty, then try and get a replacement! mine was replaced for rusting, serious rusting that is!

hey.. got my RTR FI serviced a week earlier and got the rear disk+ pads changed and used 300v oil. Also got the CO adjusted for the everlasting misfiring(i dont expect it to be solved though).

Observations:
- Throttle response has become very mild at low rpm.
- Gear shifts are better now
- Vibrations are quite less.

Tried to top out the bike today(after ages) on small ride. Bike did'nt go abv 120kmph no matter what i tried. Well i aint much bothered abt the top end since am hardly going on rides. lots of small niggles to be taken care off now. Will drop the bike again sometime next week!

Man, 120KMph after ~67000KMs.....what do you expect more? Afterall it is TVS. They are developing rapidly. give em some time.
