Am not sure if its because of this only , but you can clean air filter your self , if not then open it up and check it if its too dirty take it to any local mech they will do it , in SVC they charge any where between 100-200 for it.

I wouldn't suggest you to have it! you have to up jet your bike!
and you have to keep your filter oiled everything! if water gets in,you're in trouble

                • After riding my 2 month old (600 km) RTR160 HE for longer time in heavy city traffic, idling RPM shoots up to 2.1k! Then bike starts vibrating like hell. :|

                  Is this normal?

Also, I've been using normal unleaded petrol and TVS TRU4 oil since day 1. Should I switch to 'Speed' petrol? What difference will it make?

                  Someone please help!

                      Hi,

checked with svc, and got info that, it costs Rs.7000 for modification
which also includes the cost of swing arm and other essentials. Is it true ?
and the old sprocket which didn't wear uniform will go for another 10k kms(already 9k Kms done) if lube done every 500 kms as informed by svc.

                      Thanks,
                      Vinoth.

                          • Hi. I noticed a small hole under the exhaust of my hyperedge. I know many bikes have it but I'm not sure about the apaches. The smoke exhausts in a small quantity through that hole. So, has my bike encountered any sort of damage or do all apaches have them?

So, when according to you the bike has NO petrol in reserve+main, it actually had the REST (2.5-1.7=0.8litres) of petrol into it already. And the next time you fill up 5 litres of petrol, it will go 1.7litres in the reserve, and the rest 3.3litres in the main tank only.

No need to worry. Its the drain hole, most of the bikes have it.

Set the idle rpm to 1.2k when the engine is hot.TVS TRU4 oil is best left for the scooty peps and wegos. You can try using a much better oil like Shell AX-5 or Motul 20w40 or Elf moto4 gold mineral oil 20W40 next time.
