Do read through the previous few pages. Now you can change to valvoline or motul and then after every 3k kms, you can change your oil.Originally posted by ronak_143 View Post

There is a little glare with the 8000K kit. Not too intense blue, just a tinge. Its a Chinese kit worth 2.5k and I paid another 500 for fitting.Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View Post

Need to take help of the reflector adjustment screw inside your dome. As per rule, HID are not allowed at any cost, heck, they are even catching for white light. Halcyon: Understanding High Intensity Discharge Lighting
HID lighting has several advantages over conventional halogen primary lights:
- More light output. Halcyon's 18 Watt HID light source produces approximately the same lumens at the light source as a 55 Watt halogen bulb at a three to five times the halogen's efficiency. The 10 Watt HID only produces ~500 lumens, but thanks to its true 6000K color temperature it appears almost as bright as a 55 Watt halogen bulb when in use. The HID lamp's lumens per watt (LPW) efficacy is roughly six to eight times that of an incandescent lamp.
- Whiter light. The color temperature of HID lighting more closely approximates the color temperature of natural daylight than does a halogen system, which appears yellowish in comparison. We use the term "correlated color temperature" to indicate that the light appears as if the discharge lamp is operating at a given color temperature-- traditional measurements of color temperature are drawn from the properties of the metal used in the bulb's filament. Typical color temperatures are 2800K (incandescent), 3000K (halogen), 4100K (cool white or SP41 fluorescent), and 5000K (daylight-simulating fluorescent colors). Both of the Halcyon HID lights produce a light with a color temperature approaching or above 5000K. A white light has a perceived brightness which may equate to the higher stated efficacies-- ie., although an HID lamp might have equivilant lumens as a higher wattage halogen bulb, the HID will appear brighter and more pleasing to the eye than the output of a halogen lamp.
- Longer Service Life. An HID lamp will last, on the average, 3 to 5 times as long as a halogen bulb. In normal use, your Halcyon HID bulb should last beyond one thousand ignitions.

I'm going to resume the repair work on my bike starting tomorrow, as i'm running on a tight ship, i'll only be able to repair my bike as funds keep coming in from my folks (which is like a trickle), but the good thing is that i can keep looking for various other alternatives to get my bike up looking good again, right now i've decided going against insurance as the most of the damage is only cosmetic and plastics also since most of the mechanicals are still running good as it was pre-crash, i've decided to keep the insurance for my exhaust till it completely gives way, and i've decided to re-paint the front fender, headlamp-cowl and the tank shrouds white in colour, tell me what you think, and also if possible can anyone photoshop this idea?I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.Comment

And about the insurance. Well, I recently got my bike done up with the help of insurance and it was done up pretty well. Only, there's one small glitch - them paying up. Most insurances offer 50% coverage on plastics and 95% coverage on metal.
When I got mine done at Bajaj, I had the option of either settling the entire bill and claiming from the insurance, or having the insurance send a cheque for the amount they are covering, and me paying the rest. I took the latter. I didn't want to waste my time running behind people for my money. Yes, it did take a little bit of time for me to take my bike back, but honestly, it was worth it. AND it took a lot less time than what it would've taken if I'd opted for the refund option.
My tip, if you can wait a bit, is to go for insurance. You're not paying a premium for nothing.-------------------
