  • Re: The Honda CB Twister

I'd say test drive everything in your budget.

Twister was my first bike. I bought it after a lot of research. I've gone on a lot of road trips on it. Recommended cruising speed is 60kph. It vibrates a little at those speeds though. I've done 450 kms on it in a day.

Reliability is top notch. I've not had any issues in my 31 months, 25000kms ownership. Just the regular maintenance.

Fuel economy around 65kpl if you keep the speeds below 60kph.

Good bike to ride around town.

It has a short wheelbase. So it's not very stable. It is very light too. Way too light. Engine feels stressed at 60kph.

I bought it for Rs.60k in September 2012, sold it for
    Rs.18,500 on march 26th 2015.

In my opinion I would say it's better than splendour or passion. But one fine day, you feel like getting another bike, the resale value is terrible. Just TERRIBLE !

I have mixed feelings about the bike, because it was my first bike. Had a hard time selling it. But still in the end if you ask my opinion about buying a twister, I'd say NO !

    Good luck.

I am not under rating twister. It is a nice bike with 9 bhp power and fair mileage. I only tried to understand you that looks are not the key point while selecting a bike.

Not as simple as it seems. Your bike will have to be converted into DC setup before you are able to install projector lamps. Good luck with the new bike

This is fine.Dont overdo the LEDs. You will end up looking like a theme park on two wheels.

Page 54 of User Manual, You need 19mm Spanner for Rear Axle nut and 10/12 spanner for Drive chain adjusting nuts.

Use brake centering while tightening axle nut after adjustment.
