Can anyone tell who is the OEM manufacturer of clutch plates for honda two wheelers india?

one more thing is that can i use 15w50 grade oil in twister instead of 20w40 which iam using currently. I wanted to use gulf powertrac synthetic.. it comes in 10w30 & 15w50..i dont want to use 10w30..so can i go for 15w50?
Get the SKF ones. You won't be disappointed. Also, why use 15w50? It's not like max ambient temperature anywhere in India reaches 15w50. Also, trust me Synthetic doesn't do much good in smaller capacity bikes like this. Either go for a mineral or semi synth if you want. FS is good as useless in small capacity engines.

ok so i will stick to gulf pride semi synthetic 20w40..
      and replace skf clutch plates..
      will be replacing it myself.
clutch hub, clutch center also i will see and replace.
even gear holder needs replacement i think. will hav to buy 14 no. box spanner & clutch holder tools.
      hav already bought 8 & 10 no. t spanners, ring spanners 12 11 10 9, allen key 6..while i was doing valve clearance.
after valve clearance the power of my bike has increases.. it has stopped stalling at low speeds in 4th & 3rd gears.
did full servicing of front disc brakes.. removed them completly.. fully opened & cleaned completly..even removed the pistons.
cleaned chain by completly removing it and washing in kerosene.removed caburretor and cleaned it via petrol. did tuning as per this thread.. 1.8 turns anticlockwise. the spark plug is now super clean.. the ceramic is white.
this will be first time i will be opening the crankcase.
have anyone of you done engine flush using diesel? i hav done it during last engine oil change.. 50% diesel 50% old oil and let the engine run for 2 mins.. hav u guys tried any other way?

Default Re: The Honda CB Twister
Done.. changed the clutch hub & center.. & pressure plates.. orignal honda parts..
        skf clutch plates..
        & gear liver spring.
i put 950 ml oil instead of 850ml.
had to buy clutch puller & box nut of 19mm..tools worth 400rs.
skf clutch plates costed 120rs for a set of 4.
pressure plates costed 40 rs each.
hub & center about 400 rs.
        gasket 100 rs approx.
bike is running smoothly till now.
i didnt change the clutch springs..old clutch plates had same amount of material as new ones.
only pressure plates had parralal lining all across.
youtube helped me a lot in the procedure.
        oil stainer was blocked 75%.
centrifugal oil pump, oil stainer & bottom of crank case cover had carbon and fine metal particals. even found hairs in oil stainer.
this was the first time crank cover was opened. my bike has driven only 55k kms. bought in may 2010.
hav kept clutch freeplay of 6mm.
please enlighten if i missed something.

Update: Vibrations has reduced a lot. This is a clear sign that clutch was slipping while driving. Expecting rise in milage. Gear shifts are super smooth & acceration has increased. Was driving at 40kmph..the engine rev is lower than before at same speed. Will update later.

              Dear Sir,
I am owning Honda CB Twister. I bought it preowned and initially I had some rear suspension problem, I changed new shock absorbers. Now again I getting stiff back problems and I need to reduce the height. As your advice earlier in this thread shall I change the suspensions to Bajaj Pulsar's gas suspension. Changing that will affect the bike performance and how about latest Platina Gas suspension because twister and platina has same weight. If you are from Chennai please share your contact number.
              Thank you,
              Siva Raman

Hi guys i am having issue with disc brake, i changed the oil but it lost all the pressure. I watched videos on youtube but it did not help. Brake is still loose with no pressure.

I tried pumping the brake then releasing and tightening the bleed valve.

                    Any suggestions !

Get the caliper and MC checked as well for any air. How old is your bike? It would be a good idea to service everything if the bike is really that old.

Bike is running good, only having brake issue.
I will check with local mechanic today and if possible also get the cost from service center.

Bike is 10 years old, twister 2010 model.

I repaired it from local mechanic today, air was stuck in the pipe and the brake pump was leaking.

                        Cost me Rs.470
