Hello,
I'm planning to buy a used bike and the twister is my prime choice. Can anyone tell me about the comfort level of the bike over broken roads? Is the suspension stiff or soft. Never ridden the bike till now.

Get the cable checked. Usually it connects to the front wheel. If that's the case, replacement is cheap.

no actually wire of speedometer is new i think the problem is in needle itself.

Check the speedometer gears by diassembling it.. they might have been jammed or broken. Try applying some grease on it. Might help or esle go to a meter repair shop if you dont wanna get your meter assembly replaced around 2k

Did you complete your Tacometer build.

My Fuel gauge stopped working last week, good till it lasted 8 years xD

I tried to fix it, but it now only shows same reading ,

I am almost finished making a digital fuel gauge, will post the pictures soon.

It is 12mm drain plug for the bike.

Planning to do some modifications on my twister
1.) Exhaust change (have 1 custom slip-on already)

2.) Carb rejetting

3.) Clutch overhaul (noobie so need help regarding this also)
For changing exhaust i want a bend pipe. unable to source it as i have a free flow exhaust

and some help on rejetting because without rejetting changing exhaust is a waste.

any help peeps?

I believe your motive is to squeeze more power from the bike. In that case, three things go together, air filter/intake + Carb Jet + Exhaust.

Yea ryt bro.. I already have a conical air filter of k&n and a custom exhaust. Should I upsize the jets or lower? And if anyone knows the stock jet size for Honda twister. It's carb is keihin PB something

If anyone can post the stock main jet size for the carb of twister it'll be a great help.
n yeah is twister carb a keihin pb16 or pb18

and this thread is almost dead.
sachin & minaki.. hope u guys r still here..
iam planning to change clutch plates.. can anyone suggest which clutch plates will be best? will do it myself. will have to buy few tools.
i stopped giving my bike to asc.. and now i even stopped going to mechanics. i do it myself now.. from valve clearance to oil change.. to fixing broken mud guards..
the bike is old enough for me to take the risks.. and its not that hard as we think. infact iam doing it better than mechanics or asc guys.
iam ysing gulf pride 20w40..change it after 1500 kms.
also after changing clutch plates iam thinking of shifting to gulf protrac 15w50 fully synthetic.. will this be good?

I may be wrong but I think Twister uses the same plates as the Dream series & Livo.

geneunine honda clutch plates will cost 800+
while those of usha shriram etc will cost less.
which clutch plates should i buy?
i want to know the brand names of good clutch plate manufacturer.
honda parts are unreasonably costly becas of various overheads. if i can know which manufacturer makes it for honda.. i can buy it from local autoparts supplier.

I've used SKF plates on my Splendor Pro and they're really good. As good as OE one. You could ask if SKF makes one. I do not doubt Usha's reliability at the same time. I've used Bore Kit from USHA and it is damn reliable. If you can find Usha ones, go for it.

Can anyone tell who is the OEM manufacturer of clutch plates for honda two wheelers india?

one more thing is that can i use 15w50 grade oil in twister instead of 20w40 which iam using currently. I wanted to use gulf powertrac synthetic.. it comes in 10w30 & 15w50..i dont want to use 10w30..so can i go for 15w50?
