Can some 1 let me know solution to these 2 problems:
1) What is the optimal tyre pressure for CB twister(without Pillion)
2) I had problems with engine turning off while slowing down or while holding the clutch in the traffic signals and also bike takeing several kicks to start. I took my bike to a a local mechanic and he cleaned the air filter, spark pug. Now the starting trouble is resolved but still some time, the bike turns of while while holding the clutch in signal.... I thinks this is very risky.... checked with another local mechaninc and he asked my to change my battery( my battery is really low). Could this be a reason. Will changing the battery help?
thanks

Change tires asap, cause then you will get a good price for them.Originally posted by MoonLight View PostHi all
I wish to get stock tyre changed to wider one as soon as I take delivery of my new twister. Will it affect warranty in any way ??
Please help me, need to get bike this weekend.

tyre pressures are given in user manual....if you are not having user manual then see the label which has been put near rear tyre....next to sprocket on left hand side.Originally posted by ajay600 View PostCan some 1 let me know solution to these 2 problems:

about starting problem.....if bikes self starter, horn,or even side light is working then battery is good enough to run ignition.how old is battery? check the battery voltage...if its showing 9 volts or more then it should work.also try getting it charged from battery shop...if its not getting charged then its dying....you will have to get a new one. If battery is good then check idle RPM....you can raise it slightly by turning the Idle screw.Last edited by sachin1111; 02-08-2013, 10:28 PM.

If you read Honda's warranty policy given in user manual...it does affect warranty. However as per user experience people have not faced any issues. It mostly affects Engine warranty which is of 2 years.Originally posted by MoonLight View PostHi all

Hi guys.. I have a problem with my rear tyre.. What is the recommended age to replace tyres??
My bike is now more than 2.5 years old with more than 10,700 KMs driven mostly on city/town roads.. Never had a problem with the tyres, but 3 days back I noticed that I was losing pressure very quickly in my rear tyre.. When I got it checked at the tyre shop, a puncture was found and repaired.. They very next day, I again lost a lot of pressure, and this time again a puncture was found on a different location in the tyre and repaired.. To my frustration, even yesterday, for the third time I lost pressure.. This time it wasn't a puncture, by air was leaking from the side of the rim.. I got it repaired, but now on the fourth day again I find almost no pressure!!
Is it time to replace the tyre, or is it advisable to put a tube in the tyre (as the mechanic advised)??
Please give your suggestions.. Is it normal to replace tyres this early in the bikes life?

I think it will be better to get new one. since it has suffered several punctures at different places it will not perform well like before....secondly its likely to get puncture again which means you will keep on spending on repairs which is not a good thing. also keep an eye that on sharp objects...like nails and metal objects, glass etc while riding.

Yes, infact thats reason I am planning to get it changed as soon as its out of showroom. Tyre Dealer can give good exchange price as tyre would be new.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostChange tires asap, cause then you will get a good price for them.

Hmm... Good point. I think I would be better with stock tyre. Do not want to loose peace of mind over warranty issues. I observed one thing when I went to book my twister, all white ones had TVS tyre and there are only 2-3 bikes of other colors with MRF tyres. TVS rear tyre had better threading than MRF ones.
Which ones should I insist for, MRF or TVS ?

Re: The Honda CB Twister
It's known that the MRF uses better rubber compound than the TVS.Originally posted by MoonLight View PostHmm... Good point. I think I would be better with stock tyre.
