before buying see that the new battery will fit properly in place of present battery compartment...ie the size should match. if its over sized then may not fit in its place.

yes the price is on higher side.....but on the other hand If chain+sproket was priced few hundreds then people would have never bothered buying expensive chain cleaners/sprays....like the motul spray it cost some 400 RS i think and lasts only few applications.

is the new battery should be charged? if so at what current level. i read somewhere that it should be charged at 1/20th of the current rating. ie if its a 4ah battery then the maximum charging current should be 4/20=0.20 amps.
most of the battery shops dont charge at such low level, instead they charge at 4 amps for 1 hr. which actually damages the battery. we should actually charge at 0.20 amps for 20 hours.

It doesn't create any drama eventhough I ride above 90, every weekend 150+ kms. (Some times full throttle for half an hour continuously). I suppose the actual top speed is somewhere between 95 and 100.
By the way, I want to put compound soft rubber tubeless tyre in the front. Cannot increase the size as it will affect the mileage. Any suggestions?
Putting soft compound tyre is good choice but don't increase or decrease the front tyre size it'll seriously affect the Handling

Saeber Don't waste 1100rs to change the battery simply add extra Rectifier as i did today.Adding a bigger battery will not give you the good result even a 9amp battery ll get drain soon if it's not getting charging well. You guys know Yamaha R15 comes with 3.5amps battery as our bike having but it's running 35w+35w bulbs without any strain. So add a extra rectifier. It's costs me only Rs.200+50 labor

I've checked the size of the Exide VRLA battery it's not direct fit.Our bike battery box is perfectly designed for Exide 3.5amps MF battery.

So as per your calculation 3.5amps Battery should be charge at 0.175amps. But in our bike battery they mentioned charge at 0.30amps for 8hrs

its true that ideal charging current is 1/20 of rated capacity....i do not know if they charge it at that rate.their is some adjustable switch by which they can increase or decrease the charging current but they usually do not follow it because it will take 20 hours to fully charge at 1/20 rate and people want things done quickly. I think since this charging is done once....damage may not be of serious nature. however repeated charging at such high rates will cause damage as battery will get overheated.

NH4 bangalore to tirupati: i get a stretch of 28 to 30 kms straight where i can stay on full throttle.

bro i have no idea what is a rectifier and why it is used in bikes. as far as i know rectifier converts ac 2 dc or something like that. studied it long ago so forgot

                          can u explain in details.
my battery is dead since 6 months+, i have charged it 3 times, but after 2 3 days it again drains out completly. i have no issues with indicator and tail lamp. they r glowing , but r lil dim. headlight is not as bright as before, and electric start never works. iam using kick since so many months.
plz throw some light on this rectifier thing.

It will be very interesting to see if "Passion X Pro" is anyway better then Twister.

also news coming from auto expo is that Honda will launch a new 100cc bike which sources claim to be "most fuel efficient bike in india" using A brand new engine developed by honda....to take on HH splendor/ passion in 100cc segment.

seriously guys, what is the need of hh and bajaj if they cant develop an engine of their own. this was a prime reason i didnt got a hh or bajaj. they have no r&d and no creativity. even the chassi design is stolen from internaltional models. our auto engineers seems to have 0 creativity. we are perfect in copy n paste. 60 years of independence and we were not able to develop an internal combustion engine which we can feel proud of.
