Use synthetic oil . You will see how smooth your engine turns to and how silent it will become.. As for as CBR is concerened is it a ABS for 1.4, the bike is excellent and the HONDA brand quality is visible... I have booked a second one for my fiancee as she wants only CBR I use it for long ride.. Inside city i use twister. the diffence between bajaj and Honda is visble if you look a 2 years old pulsar and a 2 years old CBR which were maintained under similar conditions...No fading I wax the bike very week end and maintain it like a baby i spent an avg of 500 /month on its maintanace ... i know i am over caring it but it pays back i get a mileage of 40-45kmpl on highways in economy riding....

my twisty is just 15 days old.. & initially i was complaining about jerk which i was getting in 1st or 2nd gear...

My dad did some adjustment in clutch screw( which is just above engine)..clutch seems okay & tight...now..
Now i don't get any jerk..

my question is : what i did is okay or not ?

I asked for 10w30 oil in local stores..he said...we don't have 10w30 but he had some kind of 20w40 or some 20w oil..

he said, use it..it will work too..
But i didn't buy that because i did not want to take any risks...

which local store are you taking about?During running in period you must only use Honda 10W30 mineral oil which you can get from Honda service centre. for first 2000km do not use any other oil because Honda 10W30 mineral oil is required for proper running in of your bike. DO NOT USE ANY SEMI-SYNTHETIC OR SYNTHETIC OIL FOR FIRST 2000KM...USE ONLY MINERAL OIL.

My 1st servicing is on 23th March... Honda dealer told me that we need to pay for oil in those FREE servicing, i thought i will buy oil for my Twisty ..

I asked in local bike repairing garage..I think i should get it only from Honda service center.

shall i do my 1st service or not ..as i wont be able to do 500 km...max to max i can do is 250Km..

In the run in period the more you do the oil change the better it's for the engine. So go for the service. If I buy a new bike(Infact waiting for the pulsar200

) I'll change oil at 200, 500, 1000, 2000 and every 2000 - 2500....in the odometer reading.

Thanks Ramesh. And the brand should be motule, right? How often should I change the synthetic oil? Currently, I change honda minaral oil every 2000 - 2500kms.
Regarding CBR, it's not the ABS version. Now, I'm more inclined towards pulsar. I'll keep it for 2 years. Then the duke350 (if everything goes well

I just loved the bike..looks attractive...i have seen 3 problems after riding for 30 km today...

1. It is difficult to find neutral after stopping the bike..but when i switch it off using key & then i start it again..it goes easily on neutral..

2. Bike doesnt easilygo to 2nd gear from the 1st..I have to more pressure when i want to go from..1st to 2nd ..compared to other gears...

3. When i start bike using kick..kicker makes contact with right side foot stand & make 'thapp' noise..(where we keep our right foot while driving..)..is it okay??

Guys,
after doing 115 kms...& some adjust ment with clutch...
1. Now i easily find neutral...i can easily go to neutral from 2nd Gear..

2. Gears are very easy & dont find any stiff ness..

3. Still my kicker makes contact with the front right foot peg...i tried avoiding it..but couldn't do that...

first service is very important...do it even if its 250km.if you do not do the free service as per given date then free service becomes paid service...that means you will have to pay for the service. Engine oil is always charged as per price written on bottle.only labour is free...and even small quantity of oil which they put for greasing clutch and brake cable is charged along with drain bolt washer which costs just 2 Rs.

If you dont do your first service within date range or km range whichever is earlier then your warranty will be void.. Also dont play aroung with engine oils use Honda oil only I am unsure why you want to do expirements with your new bike... I have done 4500km still I use Honda oil(synthetic) but you have to wait to clock 2500km to use synthetic till the use HONDA mineral oil only

I use HONDA Throttle High performance synthetic... 10w30 for both my twister and CBR 800ml in twister and 1L in CBR it costs Rs 504/-. Dont go gor PULSAR I have booked a second cbr for my fiancee(getting married soon) CBR 2012 is being released so wait, and book that
