I mean, using semi-synthetic engine oil, hi-octane petrol, NGK Iridum spark plugs available with DSG... Also changing viscous air filter... Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Speed, Xtrapremium and power are not recommended for a 110cc engine... Use normal unleaded petrol(unadultrated) from a trustworthy outlet and stick to the same brand and outlet as far as possible.... Iridium plugs wont make much difference..... Yes u can try synthetic engine oil sachin has tried that he will be able to tell the diffrence.... Air filter need not be changed till 15k kms and when u change you have to stick to stock spare do not meddle with Air filter .. USE ONLY HONDA RECOMMENDED PART

I have been facing this problem for a while now. At 40-50kmph, my Twister just gives a sudden jerk, a forward thrust, sort of, but it is inconsistent. Have tried my best to replicate the scenario to ASC guys, local mechanics, but it seems , problem is not yet solved. Some say, there is a blockage in some pipe, some say, the spark plug has gone old, some say, chain problem... I am confused. Kindly help.
Cleaning carburetor jets should resolve this. Btw, do you keep anything under the seat near the air intake opens? Once I kept the cleaning cloth there and the bike stalled every time. It took me for a while to realize my foolishness

Hmm... I am currently filling petrol from Indian Oil outlet, and I have been doing so for a while now. So, I suppose it's a green light for Iridium plugs and synthetic oils... Thanks.

Hey Bro, can you tell me where are the carburetor jets exactly located? I mean, I can explain that to any local mechanic...Nopes, no clothes ,any other things under the seat!

I told my mechanic to clean the Carburetor and jet. Long back, I was on my pulsar on a 600kms ride (Kochi-bangalore). Before the ride I gave it to Bajaj service center for wash and regular service. On the way it started jerking and shaking. The I saw petrol was coming from one drain pipe. Luckily I found a mechanic and he opened the carburetor and there was mud in it. He cleaned it with petrol and jets also. He said there was water in the jets coz of the water service. It should be same with the Twister too.

Hey buddy, seems you are pretty close to getting a solution for this issue. I often give my bike for washing at local shops... So, the water in the jets part could be very true. Will try out this also.. Thanks.

Manual; recommends not to pressure wash the bike... I use mop and bucket.... Avoid pressure washing AFAP... By the ways guys I hit 80 with out any effort with quarter of throttle open .. on a empty flyover I hit the flyover ascend at 60 and once the climp part was over was cruising at 80 for next 1 km it took less than 7 sec to hit 80 from 60 and best part absolutely no vibrations

2)front cowl is making some noise due to adhesive not holding.
3)noticed slight droop in pickup...i need to give wee bit more throttle to get same performance when it was brand new.

                  • Hi all, i have bought my twister(grey colour) last Saturday.
one problem is the handle is not moving freely, is it like that when new???
one more thing is the neutral indicator isn't working from the second day itself. I told the honda mechanic about this and he said that "just see for two three days if the problem persists then i will check it".
Still the neutral indicator isn't working, i will go to the mechanic again today and hope the issue will be solved.
Does anyone have an idea about what the problem might be, that too for a new vehicle.

                    • TWister at 19000Kms

I'm using Twister last 1.5yrs I've completed 19000Kms which includes 6 Trips Chennai to Mysore & 2 trips Chennai to Kadaloor . Still its good in condition. I regularly change engine oil with 3000kms interval. I'm not satisfy with Honda service so after first service i'm servicing my bike myself

Changed the Air filter at 17000kms Costs Rs.137
Last month installed HID Costs Rs.825

I'm getting 65+ in city but on high ways 40 only that is due to full throttle at a speed of 90-100+

I'm too happy with my Machine

For handle there mayn't any lubricant just put some oil
For Neutral light prob there maybe a loose contact

Hi.. even my handle was not moving freely. I thought that its common and dint bother about it. i gave my bike for 2nd service just now. the mechanic himself told the handle is a bit tight and he told he'l loosen it a bit.

Dont worry..your bike is brand new and everything is covered under warranty and that's why Honda has given 4 free services to solve any problem that can come during first few thousand Km .I Did not had any problem with handle...check it with service center.Regarding the green Neutral light indicator...it could be due to loose contact of electrical wiring or the neutral bulb may have died.was it working when you took the delivery of bike?check if battery voltage has gone too low....if the side light, horn, self start is working then the battery is ok.

                            • No he has to get that neutral light working ... He can t say wait for 2days.... All other problems like mileage, gear problem engine heating will get solved by itself after 2nd service.... Because bike is brand new.....

I had gear shifting problem after second service they did some lubrication... Everything become fine by itself... I have no problem

                              • Plan for a first tour on a 110CC

Ok so i love to tour a lot on bikes and have only on 150CC and up with the likes of Pulsar 180, Honda CBR250R.
But now i want to try on this CB-Twister as i find it really comfy to rideon , not to mention its astounding mileage..

I got my twister like 3months back after hearing great talk abut it .. was sceptical to buy a new one so instead got a second hand in brand new stat ... after almost 2months of searchin and interviews i got one that had barely done 1200kms (maintained at showrooom condition) . and was only 63 days from purchase.. also the price tag of 34k was quite luring considering a new one would have cost me almost 55k which i was not ready to spend havin a pulsar and a cbr250r in my garage ..

With a few lags on it like short mudguards that occationally let splatters on the rider and the thin wheels .. the bike is rather a BLISS ..giving me over 80kmpl at times and a minimal 67kmpl considering i mostly drive at 60kmph . yeah to my surprise it gives me better milaage at 60kmph than at 40 or 50 kmph ..:

Ok so here is the deal .. i plan to do a tour on this machine of about 2000km , CHennai-coimbatore-ooty-Blore-Chennai (with detours enroute).mostly non-spot runs.

So i need to know if this can handle running non-stop for 600kms at about 70kmpl ??

and am currently based in Chennai , so would like to know if there is someplace that could rig this bike up for a tour for me like Saddles and Power-ports and phone mounts ?? (power-port a must for me as i have the need to charge my phone while on the go ).(had done on the CBR but that was in Blore)

But most-importantly can this RUN for 600kms+ non-spot without stalling ? coz i have had the pulsar stall on me a couple of times whn i was at 80kmpl for almost 30mins...
