I know abrasive tools are used for cutting metals.Even a hand held grinders has abrasive material to polish/chip away metal.thats why i made the assumption.but it may not be the case as per wiki mania pics.
regarding piston rings website says ,Its finally the the new piston rings physically wear into the cylinder wall until a compatible seal between the two is achieved.....do you agree?or am i misreading again?

Madhav In the discussion of motoman's theory your post was ignored jokin.. I was away on week end here is the answer for your question

Yes you can go on a long tour on twister.. I have personally done around 220km a day. Are you planning a pillion if yes he will feel uncomfortable after 100km.... My advice take a 15 mins break after every 80-100 km

Things you have to keep in mind. The day before your intended journey take the bike to ASC wash it.. change engine oil(recommened if the bike has run 500-750 after last change).

          1)Change Engine oil
          2)Clean and Lubricate Chain
3)Check and adjust both brakes and freeplay. If front is disc have the pads and fluid level checked
4)Have them check brake and clutch cables
          5)Headlamp focus...(if necassary)
6)Tyre pressure(back 41 if with pillion and keep 35 if single reco is 29 but keep 35)
7)have them clean the spark plug and change if bike has done 9k kilometers after last change
8)lubricate the clutch and brake joints

Personal thing that you need to do
1)Ensure you wear a clear Visor helmet
2)Wear riding gear a gloves, and a bright coloured jacket (good one) and shoes as bearest minimum
3)Fill up the tank full. If they give carry a litre of petrol in bottle as reserve
4)Carry a back pack and if you can afford a spare front break cable (applicable for drum only)
          5)Water
6)A bottlle of Engine oil(I always carry on long drives)
7)Ride safe on highways DO NOT CLOCK ABOVE 80 wind resistance will start showing its effect from 80 rear tyre specs limits the safety aspects
8)Never try to race any foolish moron who may try to provoke you
          9)Follow all the road/traffic rules.
10)On multi lane highways keep to extreme left lane or mid lane if you have 3 or more lanes

Hope these help.. others can add on any thing I missed

madhav, follow what ramesh has said.....i have done 250km in a day few times and i felt tired after continues riding 250km.so i would suggest taking 2-3 short breaks in between the journey just to keep your concentration going.basically its the seat that feels bit hard after continuous riding and that forces you to take break.do not live without oil change and tire pressure check. This is also a good time to check your fuel efficiency.take good rest before journey...no booz.

Yes I agree , and it concurs with what I know , means the rings wear into the cylinder wall , and not vice versa .

@Madhav766 ... Bike can take all you throw at it , the strain is mainly on the person (rider) . So all things rameshap says , plus your bike's papers , tool-pouch checked , first-aid pouch checked, flash-light, your own ID & money ( Card preferred ) , mobile fully charged(and topped up) plus a spare battery, a small soap and 2 hand-towels , water , some snacks & a thermos of coffee, riding makes me hungry . I don't wear jackets & gloves etc in warm weather , but then I ride mostly in 40-80 band only . Helmet & a regular leather shoe is must . Wear cottons or natural fabric .
No need to change freshly filled oil before journey , just carry a bottle of fresh oil .. and fill along the way if needed . But I doubt will be needed in such shorty trip .

I change oil for long journeys if last change was 500-750 km before.... Not freshly filled though

Fyber petrol with a high octane rating and additives is not recommended for a 110cc engine. User manual says use normal unleaded petrol

good to see he has become friendly....since you were sending mails to Honda CEO he had no other choice.During third service you can have free lunch in his cabin while watching live telecast of servicing on CCTV..

I currently work on marine engines of ship, both 2 stroke and 4 stroke.
In brand new engines there is something call rubbing band fitted on lower half of piston,(i.e piston skirt)its a ring like thing made from special material Phosphor bronze. The purpose of this ring is exactly the same as honed surface,i.e to help form perfect seal between new piston ring and cylinder wall.this ring wears out after initial running in....this is how my thinking actually turned similar way towards bike engines.

                          • hey all! Thankyou for the riding advice @Ramesh could you please tell me the address you posted the letters to the honda CEO? I'm bugged up of shouting at the ASC people. Again the chain hasn't been cleaned. The front cowls still vibrate, moreover, they have messed up the paint by applying adhesive to the cowl and putting their finger on it! The rear tail light doesn't light up on pressing the break pedal! electricals also messed up!

                            • madhav,do not write directly to CEO,First register a complaint through Honda website....by filling up the online form given on website.Honda will then forward your complaint to service center manager & then he will give you a call on phone number which you have given in your complaint form.then go to service center manager and get the problem solved from him.they may then ask you to sign a satisfaction form....do not the sign the form if you are not satisfied with their service.
If they still fail to solve your problem then as a last resort write a complaint to Honda CEO.I think Ramesh has given the email ID of Honda CEO in previous pages.
me too having same front flaring rattling problem....do let us know if they succeed in solving this problem.
