The Honda CB Twister

Hey guys. I finished my 4th free service. Not satisfied with the ASC. It takes care of the major issues well. That makes me happy. But not the smaller things like vibrations, Mirror tightening, electricals. This bothers me. I think last time, they didn't even clean the chain. Should i go for the AMC? Or try the local mech?Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.

Just not any local "mech", a trusted one who knows how to go around fixing the twister.
trust me most of them have no idea about wht they are doing wid your bike!!! i've had some very bad experiences..

guys,I am thinking of getting the servicing done from a good Honda service center mechanic privately. the whole idea is to get the things done in front our own eyes and secondly you can learn by just looking at him doing the work.so next time you can DO IT YOURSELF.once you learn be your own mechanic and I can do the job much better then him.
this way you will require Honda ASC only for major work like engine decab etc where you need special tools.I am trying to be friendly with a mechanic who is working in Honda ASC will pay him good money initially and learn as much as possible. After all servicing a bike is not a Rocket Science and these mechanics are not even half educated as us.Last edited by sachin1111; 10-10-2011, 12:55 PM.

The other day While I was typing maintance I carry out regularly my grand mother passed away So had to stop .. here I am again
1) Engine oil change every 1.5km
2)Chain Luble every 1k km or 90 days which ever is earlier
3)Tyre pressure every 15 days
4)Engine oil level check every 3rd day

fyber accelerate gradually........ U need a long empty stretch to hit 100 on speedo.. I can easily hit 80 on highway though I have done it only once. I never cross 55 mark in city and 65 on highway on my twister... Have always got a mileage of 66-68 in city and 80 on highways with above maintance steps

Checked the mileage today. ~70 kmpl on highway riding at a speed of ~60 kmphr. Sachin, your idea is good to watch and learn things from the mech. If you have a camera phone try to video record the procedures if possible. It will help later, if we miss/forget some small but important points.Love the ride, not the destination

Were you riding 150cc bikes before buying twister? Please dont expect that kind of performance form this poor baby. It's only a Passion/Splendor ++ (yes double plusOriginally posted by fybercyber View Postupto 60kmphr i feel no resistance in my bike but after 70kmph i feel some kind of resistance ....twister bit struggling to reach 100kmph why....???

). Till 60 my bike performs well. Above that its slow. It takes ages to reach 110kmphr. You need atleast a 1.5 kms empty stretch to reach 100+.

Dunno , but I pretty happy all of last week because I genuinely believe I touched 70kmph on my splendor+ .. but now I'm doubting it againOriginally posted by fybercyber View Postupto 60kmphr i feel no resistance in my bike but after 70kmph i feel some kind of resistance ....twister bit struggling to reach 100kmph why....???

. My mileage is now about 60kmpl , low gears in atrocious traffic and roads all day here . Be happy @ 80-90kmph on twister

Fyber, u need the highway for a speed in the range of 100kmph!Originally posted by fybercyber View Posttouched 85kmph in city...never had a chance to drive in highway
I've done 0-110Kmph, clocked at close to 38 seconds. Though the road wasn't fully empty
I don think i did justice To this though... I feel it can reach top speed faster...
