I live in Rajasthan, and teh rainy season is over. So it's not a.big deal.
Even if you go with a bigger Battery ther is no use until you increase the charging capacity. Our bike stock charging rate will be around 1 amp at ideal and will be 4amps at high speeds, But HID will eat around 6amps at warmup and keep on eat 3.5amps after warmup(10 seconds). So if you run HID at high speeds no problem but on city traffic it'll eat your battery with in 1 hour if it's charged fully in daytime running.

      • I usually ride at 60-70 in low traffic. How can we increase teh charging capacity?

        • Thanks for teh information.
As for now I'll get teh HID kit and mudguard thingy done.
Also, Twister doesn't have parking lights. But there are holes for them i guess. Can I fit parking lights in them?
I would reccommend not to fit parking lights in them. They are breather holes. WHen the headlamp lights up, the moisture inside needs to go out and hot air escapes always through the top. Else your glasses will start to get a patch like stuff due to moisture. That is why the hole has 2 rubber tubes bent downwards on the other side.. to prevent water getting in but to let mositure and hot air out.. Blocking it is not a good idea..

          • What you have mentioned here is all can be only used in indoor but not in outdoor because of it's less lumans.
But the LED's you have mentioned is correct i'm going to try with that type only
Actually i'm looking for a LED setup exactly like this
CrystalLumin - Superbright LED Car Headlights
Any led can be used outdoor. It all matters due to the lens in front of it as I told before. The brightlight torch in market has a 1/2W led and it can throw a 1Km beam all because of the lens in front of it! A 10W led with a lens would be powerfull enough for us. Let me do some search.

1.Going to HID with projector setup looks cool & works fine but it'll drain you battery with in an hour
Actually 1W HID = 5W halogen, so 15/20W of HID itself will be an overkill. Also HID's are like fluroscent tubes, they need a ballast and consume full power only when starting, so even if you take a 20W HID, 20/13=1.5A. With stock battery it will run around 2.5Hrs continuous with engine off, when running I dont think it will die.

            2. Changing body colour is not an big issue even here i'e noticed lot of guys has been changed the colour to custom one
The aftereffects come if you crash the bike with the alteration and without RTO approval. Have no experience, but could cost you something.

            3. If you want more grip & stylish tyre then go with Michelin Pilot sporty 100/90*17 what i'm using costs 2000rs.
But going beyond 100 section will not be good for this bike.
Thanks for that! I was also searching for a tyre!

So can i use a bigger battery? The battery doesn't charge itself while running bro?
You can use a 5A Amaron battery instead of stock 4A but will have to cut the box a bit. Wont recommend it. And yes battery will charge while running.

It's looking nice i'm also planning for this one only but White LEDs. How did you fixed this have you opened the Headlight assembly for this
Earlier it was white, but white leds dont last much long.. nearly 8 months... then it goes dim and dim.. Also none notices if its white.. Its squeezed between the headlight and the plastic cowl.. These are 5mm ordninary leds, the strip ones are not as bright during daytime..
            This is previous white.

Today i went to a dealer listed on the michelin website and he showed me a 100/90 17R tyre for 2100Rs but they were tubed. He also told me that it can be used as without tube, but I read that its too much puncture prone. I cant keep fixing the tyre frequently as I run 60kms per day and wont get time for fixing such probs. Should I go for this one or how much wud a 100 section zapper cost?

Better ask a real bike electrician, if I had atleast got a chance to play with HID's I would have measured the exact current draw and told you a decision. Also you can check if less than 35w hids are available. 21W HID is more brighter than 35W halogen..

                  • Yeah today i went to teh best electrician we've in my city. :sigh: And i was disappointed. I thought he'd tell me what I wanted to know but he was so limited.
I asked him about teh HID kit and angel eyes. Ho jaega, he replied. I asked him about the money he said max 1.5K. Then i asked him about Projector light and his expression was like I've asked him to put a 500w halogen bulb in my twister! He said Ho jaega but its very risky. First we've to cut teh headlamp assembly and put teh projector light in it and fix the glass again. I think he was lying. :/

Now I'm thinking to get it done from Delhi or Jaipur.

                    • To fix an HID, the headlamp is put in an oven and heated so that the glue between glass and reflector melts and you can then open it. Then they fix the HID inside and close the thing and put it in oven again to heat the glue to stick. There is no cutting involved. I think you should enquire somewhere else. you can see the process on youtube for car headlamps search for HID DIY or something..

                      • And same process is used for Projector light?

                        Comment

                        • An HID lamp is used inside a projector buddy.. The process I described is for projectors. I think you are referring to the local HID bulbs which simply replaces the default bulbs, they are not good as they dont have a ballast and consume a lot of power. Use projector HID's with ballast or else settle with a pure white xenon lamp which is easy to fit..

At a speed more than 50+ is good for charging. So you can go with HID

You are correct it's a tube tyre only, but I'm using it for the last 10k kms as a tubeless but still no problem.Even i made some High speed long drives but no issue.

The minimum configuration of HID is 35W, The Chinese made HID will draw more current than the branded products. But bad thing company HID's costs more-than 5000rs.

Ya but for LED we need a particular type focus lens. The one you have mentioned is having around 45-70 degree focusing but in our case it shouldn't go beyond 30 degrees.

For fitting Projector you no need to cut the reflector until you go with a bigger size projectors. Only thing you need to open the reflector glass from it & fix it after the installation of Projectors.
