ya i'm running my Low beam halogen in AC only, even if i'm not using HID & HORN the battery is still getting drain. The issue is battery cant able to store the current.

I am having same problem with 2 year old OE exide battery(flooded acid type) . According to exide service the battery is apparently dying from a short cell , solution is to buy new one .

Did u built your own amp? That cost was too much because small circuit of amps are also available in the market of Rs.70 run on 12v-1amp and can easily take a load to upto 8 inches of speakers and have very powerful output.

Why to use splendor or passion LH switch, you can also use a separate switch, as i've fitted a small switch on my handle bars where i can shift my meter LED lamps to AC or DC as i wish but i keep it in DC and off in the morning.
What is the amp of your battery? Putting headlight load on a battery reduces its life even if u can feed it.

Sounds like your battery needs to be replace. If battery is failing, it'll consume more distilled water & more corrosion will built up in the battery terminals. I bought my new battery on 28/08/11 and today (after 1 year) for the first time i filled with distilled water on only one cell from positive terminal, still it was able to go on for 6 months, it was reached to its half level only rest of the cells were at max.
If battery is failing, u'll need to fill distill water at least once or twice in a month.
Check if Corrosion appears as a white, ashy deposit around one or both battery posts then its indicate bad battery. Clean it and apply grease or petroleum jelly to help prevent corrosion again.
Also, service centers can check a gravity for u and will tell u if battery is gone bad.

Yes I already told you Pinaki ji the ideal life of battery is 2 years after that its life started going downward.
Replace it! Buy only acid type only.

my battery too is slowly deteriorating....although it gets charged sufficiently during usage the problem is that it is not holding the charge for long....i.e self discharging process is quite fast. luckily since i am using bike on daily basis i have not faced any trouble.but if i do not use the bike for say more then one week...then voltage level goes down too low that even the green neutral indicator fails to light up.

Paul1911. .. Yeah i built my own amp. . Well it came to be expensive as i also fabricated the housing such that it is waterproof too. .. Also i have planned to expansion of he system with woofers and added surround so for that it needed extensive circuit thus raising the cost incurred. .. M thinking on adding a woofer under the seat this weekend. ....mounting it under the seat should save me the trouble of waterproofing it....

And those cheap circuits are not worth it because they fail quite often. ..and also risk shorting ...and audio f4omissions them are not clear as soon as u reach 50% power and worsens as u go higher

rajselvam right now the best option would be to change the battery. . and try to remove some load off it and move it to the stator direct line. ..

Also i though my battery is almost 2yrs old no prob as such ..m getting steady voltage of 14.3v from it since the past 3 months that have been checking it..to ensure the soundsystem is not hampering anything. ..

I suggest u get 5ah exide or amaron battery or get two connected in parallel. .. One battery in the battery cage another under seat ryt above airintake. ..mind you avoid acid battery above the airintake. ... I did this to my cousins p150. . Now he has a total current of 16ah. .one 7ah and another 9ah. .. this was as he had one mocc horn and two 35w hids and alot more bling bling with halogens to the pilots too...but not enough juice in the battery.. Been 6months since the addition and no problems what so ever yet. ..


If you are feeling a bit adventurous and experimental i have been thinking about a lithium ion battery. .. We get small ones for really cheap so we can build one to fit just every corner of th battery cage and if my calculations are correct with an array battery with hybrid series parallel setup of cells we can make a li-ion battery of our bike rated at atleast 15ah. ..

Mind you this will involve a lot of patience and soldering but we will have a more powerful battery that is not only efficient but would last longer too..

Li-ion battery is much superior and will last much longer then lead-acid(all mobile phones have Li-ion batteries)...but they are expensive and hence are not affordable...and there are very few indian manufactures making automotive Li-on battery. what we see in market are mostly Chinese without warranty.I think If Indian companies like Exide,amaron bring affordable Li-ion batteries.. it will change the fortune of Electric scooters in india..

Now yet 6speakers. .but amp to support 4 speakers and a woofer. .. So pretty much 4.1 ..i am exploring a means to have speakers for pillion too

I did not cut the paper filter element.. only the outer cage... now thinking about changing my paper filter with a green filter from K&N... what do you suggest??? what is your idea about its effect on mileage??? would it effect drastically??? pics will be uploaded soon but these pics show only the battery fitted in the cage not anything else...

Going to new one i not a big issue but i don't want to throw the old one.Planning to use the old.

I too had the same type of switch but that's not a reliable one it'll get fail in rainy seasons. My battery is 3.5amps, But i'm using only AC supply to glow the Halogen.
But the OEM batteries are i Sealed MF battery so we cant fill the water there,

By this almost all of our bikes battery is going to complete their life, But i've used it well.


Ya i'm also planing for the same, My plan is adding one more 7amps battery & keep it in the side box, so total output will be 10.5amps.
My doubt is will the Li-ion Battery withstand the continuous vibration in our bikes.
