I think this option is already there in Cars even it's there in my Bolero. It'll automatically switch off the engine If engind is in ideal more than 10sec. And if u press the cluth then it'll automatically start the engine.

This system is not at all required for a good Driver

If you follow the maintenance as recommended by manufacturer then it will surely remain trouble free for many many years to comes. On the other hand skipping maintenance will shorten its overall life and you will have to go back to that same mechanic for repairs who will be very happy to do the job because that's how he earns his livelihood.I would suggest you to Go to some private mechanic and get the job done...and buy the spares directly from Honda dealer.
My doubt is, unless there is no problem from filters why should we've to clean & if we are not clean it as per intervals what kind of problems we'll face except engine life.
Bcz according to my knowledge my bike oil filter never touched but i never faced any issues.
    Correct me if i'm wrong.

rajaselvam, that table which Honda has given so that we follow a system called planned maintenance or preventive maintenance.....i.e we dont wait till parts fail but carry out maintenance to prevent premature failure of parts. Its like brushing/cleaning our teeth everyday and dont start brushing after tooth becomes black & start falling.(sorry for language dude...i am just giving an example) Of course the engine wont fail suddenly but it will accelerate the normal wear and tear process due to insufficient lubrication.I am only trying say that Prevention is better then cure i.e maintenance.

      • Pilot Lamps

hi guys after months of work i finally got some much deserved vacation.. and how else to spent the vacation than to star with blinging up our beauties the twister

anywhow i thought of installing pilot lamps to the headlamp , and decided to drill some holes to it whn i noticed two holes already present in the headlamp dome.. anyidea what they are for ? also where can i get 12-18V LEDs similar to the 3v leds we get at electronics shops.. these ones will fit perfectly into those holes after ofcourse the holes are expanded about 1-3mm more...

*yeah i know i have missed out a lot on the forum being offline for quite a while.. will catch up now that a,m back ;0

Could you post some pics of your battery assembly & Box cuts it'll be helpful for the guys who all are planning to change the battery to bigger one ..
i have changed my stock battery with Amaron Probikers 5 amp battery after cutting the airfilter to some extent. So, as you asked for snaps, those really donot show anything quite observable. still i will post some pics soon.. but the point of concern is that i get an unusual mileage of 40-42 kmpl on city ride conditions after changes while it used to be 55-60 under the same city conditions. does cutting down only a narrow part of airfilter to entertain the bike with more of air costs this much of fuel? can anyone suggest whether this cutting down of mileage is normal or it is extra celestial effect going on with my bike???:-(
city ride conditions in Guwahati are like a speed of 35-45 kmph with frequent stops and starts .. please suggest..
also would like to know if any member is from Guwahati.. i want to meet them in personal for servicing and other queries.

Cutting Air filter is definitely not a good thing dude....have you cut the main paper filter element or the outer filter box cover?..please post some pics.

            • Mods done..pilot lamps

Ok. So I was successfully able to drill the holes wider and place LEds to it...now I have pilot lamps on my twister... Used regular 5mm white 3v leds with resistors connected directly to the key prong.. Also while I was at it I decided to add a.more dramatic backlight to the instrument cluster and thus done too...

Btw did I mention I had designed and mounted a stereo sound system on my.bike a couple months back .. truely music on the go.. 750w of acoustics... I know am crazy ... but the views i.get from people priceless...

ok...see that rain water does not sip inside the speaker system and also you need to be careful of crooks who can remove the speakers when bike is parked.

I have rain tested it , and it works wonders even when heavy rains . only worries is protection to the source which is typically my phone ( put in a plastic ziploc bag and into the tank bag ).. and the most important thing the AMP is secured under the seat actually under the slot between the botton of the seat and under the fuel tank, have my minda also stuffed there (comes directly above the air filter) . but in no way visible or accessible ... crooks may tale the speakers as it is just secured by zip-ties :P but no point its just the cheapo ones we get at every store only i have put a oly coat on them which i can always do :P.. total cost of project under 500Rs... speakers 45*2=90, wires/switches/leds/misc =30 , Main PCB/AMP-components(capacitiors/IC.Resistors/ETC)=370...

Ok dude accept ur point of view, where the oil filter is placed in engine & how to clean or replace it. Is it possible to change it our-self.

Dude your mode is really great,How did you manege to hold these LEDs on that holes. but you are running LED's On AC supply it's very harmful to LEDs.It'll result frequent failure in LEDs & you have to replace it often. Better Try run to Pilot LED lamps alone in DC.
                          It's having Two Option
                          1. Simple one directly connect pilot lamps alone to ignition switch, so when turn ON your ignition Key it'll also glow but it'll run all the time until turn the key OFF.
                          2. Use Splendor+ or Passion+(if u want Pass light) LH switch gear & make wiring to switch ON & OFF the pilot lamps. Here one option is there if you use some wire alteration on switch gear assembly you can able to run your LOW beam on AC & High beam on DC as i did,

                              Dear rajselvam..

The pilot lamps are running on dc only..and.connects.to.the igniton so.it is always on.when key is on (like the new apache)... No.worries of burning out as it can be easily replaced also resistors per led should prevent premature burning...
Yeah to get the right diffusal pattern of.light I used some fevicol into the hole which also holds it in place tight...
Also the backlights for the console..the white leds . Are also installed in the same manner.

                              • I noticed you mentioned you had installed hids ? Also are there any angels eyes involved?
This may be the cause of your drain... Hids must be rated at 35a which means at stock battery it will run for max 2 hourals or so... Also your low on ac and hugh high on dc may be another. .
