Because I never ride at 50 on the highway. I don't have that patience . It was just the sake of testing how much max mileage the bike can give. I get only 50 - 55 in the town in the stop and go traffic.
oh man you guys are confusing me now (please feel free to call me Vinoo, the full name freaks me out ).. oh, btw, really sorry for the OT and for posting it here, but what is that covered thing on two wheels in the below pic ?? A bike ??

Be prepared to get more confused Vinayak . Both DY and Twister shares the same engine. I opted Twister first and now the owner of DY. DY is tweaked a bit for more mileage.

Honda Dream Yuga power and Torque : 8.5 bhp @ 7500 rpm
      Torque 8.91 Nm @5500 rpm

      Honda Twister : 9 Bhp @ 8000
      Torque 9 NM @ 6000

Dream Yuga has full chain cover unlike Twister which comes with open chain pattern and requires periodic maintenance, as it is prone to accumulate dirt, mud, etc., more quickly. Twister's rear shocks are slightly hard and are not adjustable, whereas Dream Yuga has adjustable rear shocks. The Twister tyre sprays slush all over the engine (facing the rear tyre) which is not there in Dream Yuga. I got 68km/L and have run just 225 km till date

      Regards,

The only things I dont like in Twister are it's gear lever (it damaged my shoes), absence of chain cover and hard suspension. All are real irritations. As far as I know, in DY the first 2 things have been taken care of.
Love the ride, not the destination

oh, you mean to say they damaged your boots hmm? as in, formal ones..? guess it wouldn't be a problem for me..but then, is it such a bit*h to maintain the open chains ?? lubing it monthly once seems fine for me, but if not, i'l have to widen my horizons and start considering DY for now..after all, can't afford to waste more time and money, being a student

Can you give me the details of LH switch of Pass. Pro, like price and package content how to install by DIY because my electrician asking Rs300/- for wiring.
                Thanks.
The LH switches of Pass Pro contains Parking light switch, Pass Light & Hi-Low selector...So when u switch ON your headlight first parking lights get switch ON then headlight, 300 rs for only wiring . The LH switch assembly costs 300rs only better you Do It Yourself it'll hardly take 1 hour, all the wires having same color in both Pro & Twister.

I got the sprockets at a cost of Rs.900 directly from the dealer who supplies to the ASC.
Maybe the puncture is not done perfectly, better check the tyre for any leakages

My bike also giving the mileage like your, even mine also going to touch 29K kms & 2 yr 4 months old. I'm also using High profile tyre. I got 93kmpl at a speed of 45-55 kmph on highways. In page no 121 you can see in detail...

My bike is giving me constantly 70-75 kmpl in city traffic , But once my friend was drive my bike at the time it gave me only 58kmpl it's depends on our driving style only,,
Ya engine break is always good it also improve your bikes breaking performance..

"independent" freedom at last .. the mileage figures you have quoted might very well help my dad lean towards Twister, he's been going on about Yuga and Discover for their exceptional mileage figures. I really hope the twisty's a VFM...
Yuga is actually good alternative to twister. I am currently reading this months "Auto Bild" magazine issue and also "overdrive" magazine....these magazines have published test details of yuga....i will let you guys know full details of yuga and comparison with Twister.

yes..the toe gear shifter does spoils shoes. even my sandals have got cut at that place where it makes contact. I think Honda should change the shape of that gear lever rubber padding to make it more shoe friendly....or provide soft rubber around that area.

i have done the recoiling and changed the original Minda Battery with Amaron ProBiker 5 Amp Battery. for this i had to cut my airfilter for fitting the battery and rewind the coil. the coiled provided by the company really is very weak with 21 gauge and 41 winds. i had to rewind it with wire of 20 gauge and 40 winds so that it could power 5 Amp battery.

                                Costing-
Battery Rs. 1100(including exchange value of old battery)
                                Rewinding Rs. 300 + Rs. 20 for chai:rolleyes;
                                Mechanic Charges Rs 200
                                Total- Rs. 1620
and now my bike goes with a sound of vroom.
will change my power supply option next month along with fog lamps perhaps
