  • Dream-Yuga also comes with an wire-spoke wheels option (with tuff up tubes instead of tubeless) .... something I love and 130mm drum brakes on both wheels . Honda needs to fit it with quality front leg/crash-guard , saree-guard, tool-box, rear-carrier, helmet-lock etc etc fittings from factory now and lower the price a bit to bite the Splendor market . Also needs to stick around in market for sometime to prove the endurance and of course provide quick+easy service and spares .

Yes, very much true, it comes with spoke wheels with tuff up tubes, but the spokes one does not have the self, so I had to settle for self/alloy version which is the, so-called, top-end version .

Actually Honda is targeting Hero passion with Dream yuga....not the splendor.
Honda has different plan to bite the 100cc splendor.Honda is developing an all new 100cc engine in japan which they plan to fit on an all new bike and for 125cc splendor they have some different plan unknown till date.Honda is holding back as they do not want to share these new engines with hero as they have separated and will compete with each other after their joint venture ends.

I spotted a couple of Dream yuga in my city too. one thing i liked was the sari guard fitted on DY which was unique and good looking. I will surely try to fit it on Twister if its compatible.

I am willing to sacrifice the self for spoke wheels , too many guys here with bent/defective/damaged cast wheels, mostly in the front .

Actually the DreamYuga falls exactly in the price bracket of the current Splendor models . And I am hearing about this new engine for sometime but not seeing Honda going for it here ... maybe they are holding back for the reasons you say ... but it's not a good idea, in a few years other manufacturers would catch up with the new technology and Honda would lose the advantage IMHO .

I want to see those saree-guard / crash-guard / handle-bar etc parts in chrome , and very good quality chrome at that .... black powder-coated/painted ones are losing the paint in a year or two and rusting in those spots , I noticed . Our rural folk are not stupid , they must have noticed that too

            • Hello to Fellow Twisterians ,

I am new member here though I am reading this great forum for past few years.I own Red colour twister for 12k kms.

Yesterday I just upgraded my rear tyre to CEAT Vertigo 100/70 17" Tubeless
              for Rs 1770/-.
              Initial observations.
              1. Seat height increased by little bit.
              2. Now bike feels bit heavy and planted which is good for our light weight bike.
              3. Now pickup more linear and not jumping out of hands feeling.
              4. Relaxed cruising as the Rolling Circumference of the tyre increased by 7%.
              5. Small irregularities of the road is not felt after this change.

Theoretically the mileage(kmpl) should increase by the change but due to more unsprung weight and width of the new tyre, it will reduce by small margin.

I will update you guys with the changes once I put few miles.

Now the suspension become more harder than before. Now I am planning to put little bit shorter Gas charged shocks to compensate the extra height gained by the tyre. Kindly pour your suggestions.

hi,welcome to forum!! good observations. for shorter shocks you will have to take it from some other bike right? If you have seen dream yuga...then unlike Twisters raised rear seat..DY has got a flat seat and a shorter rear shocks which can be adjusted in five steps. I would suggest you to try and find if its compatible on Twister by consulting the mechanic.

Thanks Sachin. Now the problem is Front suspension taking all the beating. At the rear very less action.
So if we reduce the rear suspension height by a small margin, we can somewhat
manage the difference. I will check the option you have mentioned.

                  • Suspension Update

I have changed my rear shocks to Pulsar's Nitrox shock absorber. This Gas charged suspension is direct fit.

Now my ride become more enjoyable than before. Not only Nitrox did wonders but reduced suspension height did the trick.

Honda stock shocks are actually wonderful and high quality unit. I came to know this after placing them on my father's CD Deluxe. It worked very well and irons out all the potholes effectively.

So guys those who are facing stiff suspension may try this. You can try any shock absorber which has little bit shorter(around 1cm) in length than the stock.

                    Tomorrow will post the pictures.

Thanks, they looks nice as well.since you said its a direct fit,its a very good thing as we do not have to modify anything.Actually the stock suspension works much better when you have pillion rider...as here too suspension height gets reduced a bit due to pillions weight.By the way which pulser are they from...i mean P135,P150...and the cost..also does it require separate bolts to fit the new suspension?

Sachin these are from pulsar 150. Cost is Rs.1600/- for a set. HH Hunk's shocks also can fit. But they are priced at Rs.3800/- for a set. Hence not considered.

If we paint the spring alone in red colour as in stock it'll looks more good na

                              • Guys i've changed my chain sprocket last week. After changing sprocket mileage got increased now my bike giving constantly 75kmpl.

The old one done it's job good up-to 26k kms. but the company claims only 15k kms

And also i've changed my LH switches with passion pro. So now it's having pass light & Parking switches all the wiring it took only 30mins for me.

And connected my 4A horn directly to battery with the help of relay so now horn also not crying..Now horn blows exactly as in cars so even trucks also giving way to me..

Why don't we try DY chain guard with twister...? it's easy job only some nuts have to weld on the swing-arm
