rectifier may not be faulty because headlight has AC set up. fault could be in the alternator or in the wiring system such as loose contacts etc...and now its a rainy season so check if this problem gets resolved during dry weather. have you replaced stock bulb with HID?Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostLast edited by sachin1111; 07-04-2012, 02:15 AM.

Can anyone please give me the email ID of Honda CEO. I had left my bike for rectifying the issue mentioned above with the dealer and since then, no response. Gave a call to them, and they casually replied that there is a problem with clutch assembly and they do not have the spare part available to rectify. As this is a new bike, there should not be any issue with a spare part, right?Originally posted by scorpion78 View PostThanks Sachin. I am not revving the engine hard, just running it between 35-40 km/hr, with negotiatable throttle. The sounds comes after a few seconds after starting the engine along with the usual engine noise (similar to a sound which comes from an oscillating table fan
). I went to Honda service center and they said that they will check it out during 1st free service, and have assured me that there is no major issue, but as the bike is new, I was a bit concerned.

Scorpion, ask them how many days they need to get the spare part which needs replacement.if there is indeed any fault then they are suppose to replace it free of cost....as engine comes with two year/30000km warranty.you go to Honda website and file a complaint online giving all details. Honda will then contact the dealer regarding your problem and then your bike dealer/service manager will contact you back to speed up the process of replacing the faulty part free of cost.Originally posted by scorpion78 View PostCan anyone please give me the email ID of Honda CEO. Got back the bike sachin. Had followed the same, filing a complaint online and they contacted me for the same. They have now changed Piston ring, Piston, etc., etc., but the problem still persists. Can you guys please suggest what to do next?Originally posted by sachin1111 View PostScorpion, ask them how many days they need to get the spare part which needs replacement.if there is indeed any fault then they are suppose to replace it free of cost....as engine comes with two year/30000km warranty.you go to Honda website and file a complaint online giving all details. ....of a brand new bike? and even then if problem continues then either they do not know the fault or may be fooling you. talk to the owner of the showroom and tell him about his incompetent service personnel and difficulty you are facing... meantime shoot another mail to honda website about continuing problem.

I have already sent a mail, please give me Honda CEO mail ID, so that they can resolve the issue asap. I am very much disappointed by Honda.Originally posted by sachin1111 View Postwhy did they changed the piston

sachin, got my bike for the second time from the dealer, but the issue has not been resolved. So, I have decided to dump the bike and buy something else like Hayate or TVS star city.Originally posted by sachin1111 View Postsorry,i do not have the id but rameshap had posted one id sometimes back. so search through all the posts of rameshap or send him personal message.

Dude,i understand your frustration....but you are easily accepting defeat for no fault of yours.if i was in your place,i would have dragged the dealer to consumer court and claim the warranty.Originally posted by scorpion78 View Postsachin, got my bike for the second time from the dealer, but the issue has not been resolved. I had a discussion with the Managing director of the showroom. She accepted that indeed there is an issue with the engine and she offered me to pay 3k for insurance, smart card, etc., and take a new one in exchange of my Twister.Originally posted by sachin1111 View PostDude,i understand your frustration....but you are easily accepting defeat for no fault of yours.if i was in your place,i would have dragged the dealer to consumer court and claim the warranty.
At the same time, one more customer came complaining that Twister is bringing up abnormal noise from engine, slipping of gears and noise from sprocket. Looking all these issues, I am leaned towards going for Dream Yuga rather than Twister, so please advise.

Scorpion, in that case i would say go for Dream yuga. Its got the same Twister engine, but it gives better mileage, better seat and has full chain cover, along with adjustable suspension ....and more importantly maximum Torque comes at lower RPM then twister which is a good thing in practical use.All these these things are not present in Twister. If you are ok with the looks of Dream Yuga then its the best choise!! regarding suzuki hayate...i have seen a review on Tv in which claims its got best pick up...but suzuki is struggling in motorcycle market and if this model fails like slingshot then you will have tough time getting spares and after sales service. star city is good but Honda is more reliable in long run.Originally posted by scorpion78 View PostI had a discussion with the Managing director of the showroom. Sachin, as per your suggestion, thought of giving a try to Dream Yuga, so took a TD and drove it both on plain as well as undulated roads and speed breakers, but it never complained and took all those strenuousness paths without any hiccup. I also saw a few Dream Yugas already on roads here in BangaloreOriginally posted by sachin1111 View PostScorpion, in that case i would say go for Dream yuga. , booked it right away, but the waiting period is 10 days as they do not have stock of Black DY.
Once again, thanks a lot Sachin for your suggestion
