  • Plz suggest tyres and help...

I'm hearing a lot about the Michelin Pilot Sporty, confused between 100/80-17 and 100/90-17... Its for the rear tyre right? Which one is suitable for the cb twister and how does it affect the mileage? Also, how does it perform in wet conditions...?

Also, my bike fell down recently and there is some noise coming from near the front mudguard? What damage or repairs should I check for?

It looks cool & grip is really too good.

Does the combination between the stock front mrf tyre and the michelin work perfectly? Also, how is the Michelin Pilot Sport performance in the rain?

my friends recommended blue colour but i stuck to white and it looks smashing cause i know this bike cant handle projectors, so this is as good as it gets for me n m satisfied
        gonna shift to blue soon

        as for the price goes,
        250 for the angel eyes
        25 for switches n parts
        250 for labour

ps: this procedure involves opening the headlight which is sealed with sealant from the company so get it done from a good mechanic ..because if the it cracks its going to set u back rs.650 for a new light original from company

I want to fit the blue angel eyes for my twister, plz tell me where in mumbai i can buy the angel eyes and the current costs involved to fit these in my bike... I too want to fit it without the projector, will i get both white and blue color available to be fit, without projectors...?

Wow... refreshes some of my memories at Brahmaputra beach, when I was there during 2000-2004.. I think, after few days ,the sand beach, where u took d pic, would be entirely covered by water, when the monsoon comes..

27k is a quite good life for MRF zappers.

They work pretty well but their life is short......rajesvelam has suffered problems with his Michelin...after just 7k run i think.

                      • guys help me out!!due to my office work i will be shifting to Delhi for two months.I am worried about parking my bike at open compound in my apartment where bike thieves are very active.right now there is no one to ride the bike at home. i live on second floor of my apartment and want to manually carry the bike on second floor. the biggest problem is that there is no lift facility available in my apartment. considering Twister's weight of 108kg,do you think i will be able to manually lift the bike to second floor by taking help of 2-3 laborer men?

@Sachin : Mate, I would suggest you keep your bike at your friend's place, if he is a sane rider, then ask him to ride it once/twice in a week else, you can/should disconnect the battery, idle it a couple of times for 1-2 min. Else, you can very well go ahead with your original plan and manually lift the bike to your apartment.
                          Regards,
                          Akash Yadav

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

I will try to lift it manually....hope it wont be too heavy to lift.before lifting I will try to reduce the weight as much as possible by removing engine guard/seat/all fuel and even engine oil. I have also made arrangements for charging the battery by putting the Bikes battery inside my old UPS for charging purpose.

                            • Here in Goa the government has announced that from August onwards all vehicles will have to remove their existing number plates and fit a new High Security number plate that costs some 250-300Rs for bikes and over 500 Rs for cars.
also engine oil prices have gone up from Rs170 to Rs 195 for Honda 10W30 bottle in last 3 month. bit too much burden on our head

No pun intended. But we, your neighbours from karnataka still dont complaint that our petrol prices are 80rs/lt and you are bothered about 1 lt oil rate increase by 15rs! Its not like u change oil everyday, it lasts 2 months.

And investing on a security number plate is one time deal right! Moreover that way it would be difficult for someone to steal and sell the bike, think that way!
There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.
