Twister has a problem of water splashing around front foot rest during rains...part of this water can directly hit the Air filter. If you see the stock filter...it is sealed inside a filter box and air suction pipe is placed under the seat to protect from water. in my opinion Air filter element should not be exposed directly to atmosphere this way. what is your opinion regarding this filter mod?
The whole air filter box remains in place, only the lower part has a hole to take the mono-susp- through, its not a stock set-up the chances of filter coming in contact with atmosphere are less than 5%.

My bike's insurance is due next month, lets see what happens then, the air filter is a K&N RC 1060. slight increase in performance. can do a 0-60 much faster than stock.

The air suction pipe connecting the filter to the carb also has to be changed, not an easy job to get an exact fit, might put your engine at risk if job not done with precision.

Have you did the Up Jetting, Bcz adding the K&N will give the lean mixture it might over heat the engine it results damage in engine parts.

No jetting done, i dont feel any engine overheat. But yes, the carb has to be adjusted accordingly.

Using shell ax7 20w-40 semi synthetic oil

What ever it is,You have to upjet the carb if you shifted to a free flow airfilter.Otherwise it will overheat the engine and may cause damages to the internal parts.

                  • 60/55w ??

is it safe to replace the stock 35/35W head lamp for a 60/55w lamp ??

one twister i got HID for the battery gave up after a couple months (the HId being connected directly from the batt .. as twisters are AC setuP) ..

so thinking on 60/55W for the other one.. but will the higher power cause any problems ??

Engine size doesnt matter bro,It needs tuning if changed to a high flow filter.

Get the jets replaced with bigger ones,Contact a good tuner who plays with carb.

No,It may even burn the coil due to excess load.

There is no option except HID.

Initially it may melt the reflector then It'll surely damage the Rectifier.
I've tested the 55/60W Philips bulb but the engine got turned OFF due to over load on ignition coil at ideal. The coil is not capable to drive the 55/60W bulb. even at a full throttle the bulb not glowed bright as drive through batery.

My bike is doing 40k kms, got the filter changed at about 34k kms, no heating issues or anything, let me research around a bit before taking this decision.
