  • Hey Rajaselvam,
He said it will protect from future scratches....he said they'll use machine for it..& separate solutions are used for fibre & metal parts....

do you know anyone who did it?? i saw some other guys saying same things...that teflon is not of any use..

BTW i did my 1st servicing today..had just clocked 255KM... :-( changed the oil (188rs for 800ml) ..bike's engine sounds great..less noise..felt great.. i was really wondering what they do..but i could sense the difference between morning ride from Home to SC & the SC to bakc home...

me too had similar experience when i did my first service...engine became really smooth with very low engine noise in first two gear and zero noise in 3rd and 4th..as if flying in wind.

      • for last few days i am hearing some noise coming out from chain or swing arm. when i ride over potholes or broken roads there is some chain noise along with mild "khat" noise.feels like it has become loose and needs to be tightened.

i think the chain needs a clean-up and re-oiling. just check the tension, and how are the sprocket teeth?

Teeth are quite good...no broken tooth.but they do not look as sharp as they were when new.i have been oiling the chain very often every 200-300km...and sometimes lubricating bit more then required and excess oil would drip down from side stand. on the inner side there is some black rubber like lining over which the chain slides and it looks very dirty.i have never been able to clean that portion as that portion is not reachable with hands.

I did it on my first service. costs me rs.450. But it's not wroth for the money. Totally not prevent the scratches. the ASC not using the original Teflon. The real Teflon work well against the scratches & it costs more than rs.1000

That is not teflon coating . That is bike detailing wihch lasts longer. I have had it done on mybike it restores bike to showroom condition and removes minor scratchs

That rubber lining helps the chain slide over the swing arm when the tension is really low, i get it cleaned from my mech when i'm getting the service done,

U have to get the chain and back wheel out to be able to properly access it and clean it.

Anyways after considering all options and after suffering back aches due to a very stiff rear suspension, i've planned to make it a mono, probably will get a whole swingarm-brake-wheel of CB Unicorn or Unicorn Dazzler. - Any suggestions?

I'm also searing the same but i'm not going to change the entire swingarm assembly. Just going to change the rear to mono shock

I am planning to keep the current swingarm assembly as it is, and buy a new one
so that switching back in the future is not a problem.

Also looking at the option of using the CBZ extreme or Karizma's inverted gas-charged shocks.

apache's polyshock is quite effective than regular gas charged shocks.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
