    Yes it's leaving some place dark i'll also try that strip. If possible give the details for RPM meter.

    Bro, I donno how to make you believe this, but this is a wiring diagram of Honda dio which has almost similar setup as Twister except for the DC headlamps, hence grounded headlight and extra relay. http://mt-ruapehu.com/wp-content/upl.../honda_dio.gif And this is a wiring diagram of Activa which is also the same. I have seen splendor, CD100, pulsar, and almost all bike's wiring diagram, they all have a seperate 60v coil and a 12v coil as you can see from this diagram. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...ing_2000px.jpg The only difference on the newer bikes like karizma and all is that they have a 3 phase alternator, so one more extra wire. I've opened up the gearbox and confirmed this, you can test the voltages at the molex connector outside the engine on LHS, rest it upto you to believe or not.

    From your answer itself you are saying non of the honda bikes(not scooters) are using the double coil.Refer the below thread then you'll get the clear picture about our bike coil.

    Check our bike coil & Pulsar coil too

    Joseph, I just want to ensure....you mean to say mileage increased despite bigger,fatter tyre ??

    So here is first mileage report from me...total bike run for 360 KMs. Measured mileage reserve to reserve, filled petrol of rs 100 and it ran for 100 KMs. Now petrol price in delhi is arnd 70 rs...so mileage comes out to be arnd 70 KMPL !!! Bike still has to go for first service, first oil change was done at 200 KMs.
    Yes due to the bigger dia tyre the mileage is increasing. Mine is 100/90 section, In my bike also I'm getting same 100+kms for 100rs petrol but petrol price is 74rs here.

    • What's the brand & size of the tyre. Also how can the tyre diameter & width be changed without changing the stock rim diameter(17") & width.

        Try the strip, i've used it like a circle all around the meter. And for the tacho, download this tacho.zip

        You were right bro. Today I checked the whole circuit inside out from the alternator. It is a single phase alternator with 60vAC alone as output. I have got the circuit from what I tested out today. Will post soon.

          Its an MRF Zapper C or Q, dont remember exactly. 100mm wide. The tyres come in different varieties and though the fitting area is 17", the outer area can be wider, thicker or broader. My friend has a 120mm tyre on his twister similar to pulsar 220. Also, though the tyre is wider, the area which constantly comes in contact with the road is less with lesser weight, that is why the increased mileage.

            Gave the bike to service center because the handle bar is not available in local.
            They quoted 600rs for Handle bar alone and told me to get back the bike by evening 3.00pm

            Totally today is BAD day for me.
            Its sad to hear bro. It pinches more when we have to suffer due to faults of other careless drivers.

              This is some good mileage. How much KMs covered on Twister till now ? I am quite happy with mileage given by Twister as bike is still in runnin in.

              • Is 120mm a safe choice?Won't it contact the frame or shock absorbers & also won't it have any other negatives.

                  • For a single handle bar change ASC collected 527rs from me. Handle bar rate is 350+177 labour .
                    So i brought the side mirror(80rs) from my friend shop. and fixed the foot rest & bumber bend in local mechanic shop he asked only 10Rs.

                    Bro, there are 2 coils in it. I have seen it, you can open the crank case and track it neatly. If you dont believe me, check the connector at the LHS panel. There will be 3 connectors from the engine with total 7 wires. 2 Wires are for starter and 1 is for the cdi pulse. The rest 4 wires are from the 2 coils I told about. 2 are green which is phase 1 and 2 and the black is ground and the white is the 60v coil. You can test for yourself and be satisfied. I donno what the people on that thread are doing. They havent specified twister anywhere and they are dealing with single phase alternators only. If you still say we dont have 2 coils, you should explain to me what the 4 wires are doing from the engine which according to you should be 2, ie, gnd and phase.
                    I'll try as you said for LED Strip& Thanks for the tacho file

                    Yes Seven wires are coming. As you said two is for Starter.
                    The black wire is not a earth that's for neutral indicator. If you trace a wire it'll go and end in gear shift pedal with end brass clamp.( If you touch this then can not able to relocate it properly, then in your speedo netural green light will glow always even if bike is in gears. which is happened to me.)
                    From the crank case four wires will come out

                    2 green - 1 from pulse generator, 1 from coil that is earth
                    1 white - from coil that is one and only output of coil called phase.
                    1 blue with yellow - from pulse generator.

                    Check the piccture which is taken in my bike

                    I'm using michelin pilot sporty 100/90*17.

                    Bro our stock size is 80/80*17

                    Here
                    1st 80 is width
                    2nd 80 is percentage of the width which is the height of tyre these all are in mm
                    17 is Dia of the inner circle of tyre which is equal to the RIM size which is in inches
                    17inch = 17*25.4 = 431.8mm

                    for our stock tyre
                    width = 80mm
                    height = 80*80% = 64mm

                    So over all dia = 431.8 + 64*2 = 559.8

                    My bike tyre is 100/90*17

                    Width = 100mm
                    Height = 100*90% = 90mm

                    Over all dia = 431.8 + 90*2 = 611.8

                    So 52 mm increased in over all dia of tyre.

                    120mm will definitely rub with the chain guard. Even my 100mm will rub with guard when it get punctured,
                    And also 120mm will be more in weight so it'll affect the engine performance & Pickup.

                      Friend after seen him in the side mirror i went to almost left edge of the road & gave him a free bath. But he hitted & dragged me to the middle of the road but not even stopped to check what happened, the injures are not paining me more but the thing he dint stopped is paining me more. Nowadays Humanitarian is getting reduce don't know where it's going to end.

                        He says there is barely any gap between the swing arm and tyre, but it doesnt run anywhere and he has been using for several months now. Anyway 120mm is the max that can be used and I'd say go no more than 110.

                        • Bro it was my mistake, I had edited my previous post, guess you missed it. I checked the complete circuitry today. 3 wires from alternator. The alternator as I tested was 60vac single phase. I had mistaken the 2 green wires as 2 phases and when I checked in detail today, found they both were joined together in the connector. The negative switched neutral was another point of confusion. Thanks for being patient with me After today's checkup I might have a simple way to switch this bike to dc for anyone without any cutting. Give me 2 more days so that I can test the trick out. Ill also make a circuit diagram.

                            • Hi all,

                              My Twister went for first service today..total cost rs. 223( cost of 800 ml engine oil ). While looking at owner's manual I came to know engine oil centrifugal filter and engine oil strainer screen has to be cleaned in first service. Now I am sure same has not been done by service guy. Now, I asked a local mechanic about it and he said Twister does not have oil filter and he was servicing Twister there. I just nodded my head and left.

                              Can somebody please post short/long DIY about how to clean these two things ie strainer screen and oil filter.

                                No need to clean it bro, it is not a very critical component like the air filter. It is deep inside the crank case, so if you open up the crank after draining all the engine oil, you might need to replace all the gaskets for the crank case. Bother about it only after 40k, and even if you dont, wont affect you in anyway.
