      • Hazard lights on CB Twister

Friends today I've installed the Hazard lights inspired by TVS phoenix on my twister as a weekend project.
Placed the switch on the speedometer board by removing the Honda logo.

That is possibly from a scooter which might have been an almost match from Indonesia or Philippines. Scooty or Bajaj crystal should fit right? It makes sense only if we plan to cut the mudgaurd and do some mods and the indicator stands in the way right?
Btw hazard lights look good, what it is its purpose? Also you could have avoided to remove the Honda Logo. I have a mini slider switch on the bottom side of the left switchgear to control the flasher and all the led setup on my bike during police checkings. None would ever see it or even think of it

But on that picture they just removed the mudguard nothing else they did, but that assembly looks like direct fit to the twister.

My drive is on highways that to too much of trucks on road.So here visibility is much important.
The purpose is to show the visibility at night times & drive in night times at rainy season.

Looks like that guy cutout the total mudgaurd rear end, so he cannot fix the stock turn signals. Some scooters could have a near to perfect match, but we will need to search. Indonesia and philippines has a lot load of scooters, so wud have been easy for them.

              • Thanks Joseph

I got RPM meter installed yesterday night. Wiring mechanic first tried to prove his point that signal would come from HT coil and tried for about half and hour. Then I told him about wire that Joseph talked about ( Thanks joseph, it would not have beed possible without your help ) and voilaaaa meter fired as soon as it was connected.

Certainly it looks kind of out of place, but I badly needed it as I am used to shift gears looking at RPM instead of speed. Something is better than nothing.

Joseph, there is no calibrating point in my RPM meter so I know I have to live with some deviation between actual RPM of engine and RPM shown. when idling, it shows me RPM of 2000 and at 40 KMPH, 4th gear it shows me RPM of 6000. Now considering ideal case, if my bike idle RPM is correct ie 1500 RPM and meter is showing me 2000... and assuming linear deviation in meter it means at 40 KMPH,4th gear ACTUAL engine RPM is 4500. Considering your RPM meter is way accurate than mine, can you tell what RPM does it show at 40KMPH, 4th gear ?

Congrats on your install My tacho shows 1500-1700 on idling, 5800 at 50kmph 6400rpm at 55 and 7200 at around 65kmph.. considering the peak power for our bike is at around 60 and normally everyone says k&n filter starts making sound at 5000rpm, mine is somewhat accurate :P Ill check at 40 today and let you know

Edit : Checked it on the way back home today. Your calculations where correct. Mine shows approximately 4650Rpm of which +/-100Rpm could be calibration error.

Thanks Joseph for info. A Quick mileage update of my bike... it ran for 110 KM for 1.42 Ltr petrol ( Petrol of rs. 100 , delhi petrol price: 70 rs/litre ) so it comes out to be 77 KMPL !!

My bike used to get 118kms for 1.44L of petrol initially for first year.. It dropped to below 70 after 2 yrs, now it is at about 72-73kmpl after doing some heavy mileage tuning.

Yes bro he removed the entire mudguard but at the tail end looks like there is no modifications.

So getting a 70-75kmpl is not an big trick in our bikes.

Regarding the indicator, a load resistor in parallel to this light might be necessary for the relay capacitor to charge, which means it is not plug and play then :-\

And regarding mileage, all this bike needs for a good mileage is a proper driving habit. No ripping. Occasional overtaking at 70 doesnt do any harm to mileage though, but normal driving should be 50kmph
