New Activa with HET logo is has got a Nickel coated spark plug and the plugs have rounded edge....never seen this type of plug before.Originally posted by joseph.alukka View PostI got the new activa spark plug bro, it was exactly the same model and the dumb svc guys keep saying twister plug is out of stock when the same model plug is sitting in other boxes!
With the price of fuel going skywards, Honda has updated its best selling scooter, Activa with a HET-technology. With this addition, it claims that the efficiency of the Activa has gone up. ZigWheels finds out how much of a difference has it really made
next time ask that dumb svc guy to give spark plug for shine or stunner......he will give you same plug...because even Honda shine and stunner are using exact same plug as Twister.

Such mileage tests are carried out under severely controlled conditions.Originally posted by smartrider View PostThat's just your concern but I'm speaking about the reality.100+ kmpl was claimed during a honda mileage test.
Rules are set for the top speed and riders usually ride over long distances to measure the FE.
Some time back, Maruti held a similar test with Alto somewhere in Kerala and it returned a record breaking 43 kmpl. There was just one rule - don't exceed 55 kmph in 5th gear for the 100 odd km of highway they were testing it on.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

I have participated in one such mileage competition and i got 97kmpl....but in daily real world usage conditions there is big big difference.under ARAI test contions Twister has been certified to give 85kmpl.....where as Honda claims 70kmpl under their own method test conditions which are different from ARAI test conditions.Originally posted by smartrider View PostThat's just your concern but I'm speaking about the reality.100+ kmpl was claimed during a honda mileage test.
this you tube video which showing Hyundai eon giving 30+kmpl mileage under test conditions......but in real world it gives about 17-18kmpl.

Hi guys,
I hope all are doing well !! I have a query, as summers are approaching I am bit confused over running my Twister with 10W30 grade oil. I am looking for good mineral oil with rating of 10W40, any suggestions guys ?? I do not want to use 20W50/20W40 as it would be thicker than 10WXX at cold start conditions.

Ahh, then fine.Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostBro after change of spark-plug finally i got a mileage of 95kms(68kmpl) for 100rs petrol(1.4L) which includes some 20kms of heavy traffic drive.
So no mileage drop by a unicorn spark plug.
Normal spark plugs are Nickel metal itself, no need for coating. And there was nothing wrong in what he gave, he told another guy to give the new activa spark plug, and from the box what I got was a CRP7EA-9 which is our factory fit. There are only 2 or 3 spark plug models for all the wide range of bikes.Originally posted by sachin1111 View PostNew Activa with HET logo is has got a Nickel coated spark plug and the plugs have rounded edge....never seen this type of plug before.

These cunning people dont sell it like that. we have to spend for the useless stuffs too to change a weakly manufactured cable.Originally posted by Ullysius Cabral View PostToday the speedo of my twister stopped working again.. Had changes the cable 3000kms back, the cable cost me 110rs(whole cable, genuine honda). can i change the internal metal cable only?

It's Possible even i got 97kmpl on a straight highway at a constant speed of 45kmphOriginally posted by smartrider View PostThat's just your concern but I'm speaking about the reality.100+ kmpl was claimed during a honda mileage test.
Yesterday my cable too stopped working , When i see the fault. the internal wire got broken.Originally posted by Ullysius Cabral View PostToday the speedo of my twister stopped working again.. So i have changed the entire cable costs 80rs.
But this time also i'm using unicorns one bcz i cant able to get twister one.
Still if you want to change the wire alone, bring the damaged wire to a local spare parts shop.
And get a new wire with same length bcz lesser in length wont work & larger in length damage the speedo meter.
Bo use Honda Oil it's really doing great. Initially i dint consider the Honda oil i've tried almost all brands oil.Originally posted by MoonLight View PostHi guys,
