I had mistaken the 2 green wires as 2 phases and when I checked in detail today, found they both were joined together in the connector. The negative switched neutral was another point of confusion. Thanks for being patient with me After today's checkup I might have a simple way to switch this bike to dc for anyone without any cutting. Give me 2 more days so that I can test the trick out. Ill also make a circuit diagram.
Haa Finlay you accepted. Ya sure friend apply the trick & after it get succeed share to every one.

My Twister went for first service today..total cost rs. 223( cost of 800 ml engine oil ). While looking at owner's manual I came to know engine oil centrifugal filter and engine oil strainer screen has to be cleaned in first service. Now I am sure same has not been done by service guy. Now, I asked a local mechanic about it and he said Twister does not have oil filter and he was servicing Twister there. I just nodded my head and left.

Can somebody please post short/long DIY about how to clean these two things ie strainer screen and oil filter.
I'm also facing the same issue till date i dint changed the engine oil centrifugal filter and engine oil strainer screen.
Local mechanics is not aware of that in service center too.
So planing to change in my own. So Peoples who knows about this, please share.

No need to clean it bro, it is not a very critical component like the air filter. It is deep inside the crank case, so if you open up the crank after draining all the engine oil, you might need to replace all the gaskets for the crank case. Bother about it only after 40k, and even if you dont, wont affect you in anyway.
As soon as I hear terms like piston, crankshaft...I am off it. This is something strange, does honda expect us to get brand new engine opened just for sake of cleaning oil filters...

Yes SVC, local mechanics are unaware of it.

Still bro, twister requires the crank case to be opened just to clean a simple oil filter and not just one nut :-\

                • guys, regarding oil filter, there are two things to be cleaned. 1)engine oil centrifugal oil filter and 2)engine oil strainer screen.
out of these two, the centrifugal oil filter is the main oil filtering element filters smaller size impurities and the strainer screen is like a metal net that filters larger size particles.
I think its much more easy to clean the strainer screen(net like thing) but for cleaning centrifugal filter needs lot more work. i think we need to remove kick starter and open cover on right hand side. (similar to opening left hand side cover for checking alternator coil). I request all to search for service manual for Twister OR dream yuga engine.....once you get it then it will be easy to know everything inside the engine...every little things related to maintenance.Honda mechanics refer to this service manual when troubleshooting engine problem.
@joseph,wanted to know which brand 100 section tyre are you using?

As long as it is not ripping (smooth 0-90) without frequent undergearing at high rpm, it wont do any harm. And even if you do ride so, it is a Honda, you can expect the least problems compared to Bajaj and the similar makes.

My doubt is, it's kept that much deep inside in engine means the frequent cleaning is not required.
Might be at least upto 50,000Kms

As Joseph said, if you are not riding harshly to get 90 easily then it's okay. Else surely it'll be harm to engine.
I did a 300kms continues fast drive(80-100) after did the first service (at 800kms) but engine felt very fine at that trip.

                            • The centrifugal filter is accessed by removing the right side crankcase cover , you'll just need an new paper gasket while refitting . Recommended is to clean it once in the first 10k kms and longer intervals thereafter . It is not rare for that centrifugal filter to clog up and starve the engine's oil circulation leading to catastrophic failure .
The mesh screen can be cleaned or replaced at the same time . On my Splendor+ that gasket costs Rs 25 and the oil-filter mesh screen is Rs 15 and the ASC mechanic cleaned and refitted it in 15 mins flat and didn't charge anything extra over the regular service of Rs 165 .... so if yours have not been opened and cleaned ever , no reason to delay it .

I dont know how things work in this thread, but normally in the ZMA thread you either do it yourself or get it done by a mech, instead of blaming the design. And about the oil filter thing, only the first time you need to clean it around 500~750kms, after that cleaning once in 50k or so would do. Normally people tend to forget this ritual, and run lakhs of kms without cleaning it, I personally know a few and they havent reported any issues.

Please go back a few pages, I had posted images from a Honda CRF230's service manual, I assume the process is similar for Twister as well, due to the similarity in design.
