Enjoy the trip ride safe ... Check the mileage... Guys I lubricated my chain with SAE 90 gear oil for the first time till now I was using the spray and now switched to gear oil for the first time... Let me see how much this lasts.. spray lasts form 1000 km but I lubricate chain every 45-60 days..Originally posted by 2wtourer View Post

Anybody have a list of spare parts with their costs? Does anybody have any idea what the cost is for a new suspension, brake light glass and the handle grab bars for the rear seat?I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

I have been using HP SAE 90 gear oil to lubricate my bike's chain... It does work well.
Check out this link - Chain Lube | Motorcyles Tips
Talking of the 'spray' that you mentioned, which spray are you referring to? Is it the Motul Chain Lube or Aerosol spray?
Even burnt engine oil works well, as I have heard. Correct me If i am wrong.
I want to switch to some other methods for cleaning the chain now. Do suggest me some!

Nice to hear that... I am having good experience with Shell Advance AX5, a 4T mineral engine oil. Less gear slip, smooth engine noise... much better than either Castrol or Honda oil... and it costs 220 bucks too!
BTW, I need to try the Motul 3000 4T next.
Guys, are you aware of the Synthetic engine oil from Honda , comes in a black color bottle. I don't remember the oil grade and all, but, I saw one at the SVC.

Hey,
Do we have any fixed interval for changing our bike's battery? I mean, is it that only when you have some problems with self-start or light/horn, should you change the battery...or is it that since ours is a MF battery, and we cannot recharge it, to say, so we need to change it after an interval or certain Kms?
The default one in my bike is of Exide. What about others?
Is Tata Green or Amaron or Exide a better option?

there is no fixed period as such for changing batteries....as long as the battery works you can continue using it.if self start is working then battery is good.you can continue using it even after self stops working i.e if you are ok with using kick start. But if you find horn and side lights are not performing well then its time to check the battery and replace if necessary. There is alternator present in the bike that generates AC power when you run the bike and this electricity charges the battery as well as powers the Headlight(AC set up). The side lights, horn and brake light runs on DC power stored in battery. if you do not run your bike enough then battery wont get charged and as a result things that run on battery such as self start/horn/side light/brake light may not work properly even though battery is in good working condition.MF battery can be re-charged externally....in fact I have tried using my old UPS to recharge my battery...i learned this from pikaki. topping up the electrolyte with distilled water is not necessary for MF batteries. Amaron is the best as they offer much higher replacement warranty but i do not know if their 5Amp-hr model will fit inside Twisters battery compartment.if it fits then I would replace my default Exide with Amaron.Originally posted by Ronits View PostHey,
