      Guys, few days back, I was filling petrol in an Indian Oil bunk...Two guys approached me, showing a small auto part, which they said, is some magnetic coil or something from Sparco, that goes into the spark plug. They said, it shall increase mileage and engine power. I got one for Rs 150, though Im not sure, what good the device will do...Il post the device pics later..Meanwhile, anyone have had such parts before fitted in their bike?

        Ronits Sparco India is a company which manufactures batteries. I would strongly advice against using such spurious enhancments.. As such twister gives a good mileage... I strongly feel you were cheated by those crooks.... Engine power just cannot be increased like that then every bike would have been a CBR.. Please post a pic of the same

            if its costing only 150 bugs & gives more power + mileage then every bike maker would have installed it in their bikes. It looks like something that gives high intencity spark.....which is what the ignition coil does.do let us know by what means it is connected to spark Waiting for pics!!

              Thanks for the quick reply guys. I went to the service centre and got the battery checked. The battery has died and I do need to replace it with a new one now. I doubted the engine flushing part because the indicator and brake lights were working perfectly.
              I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

                i hav the exact same problem .. started today.. but hav not flushed the engine .. hav atleast another 15k kms for that .. just completed 4.5k kms... and also the screws that hold the ignition-keyslot hav fallen off (minor issue).. but idk whats up wid the self-starter... kick works fine..

                  One of my friend used this on his Passion+ but there is no improvement in mileage or power so he removed in with in a week.

                      this looks like some kind of amplifier to provide higher current to spark plug so that a stronger spark is produced which will ignite the Air fuel mixture easily....thats what the coil normally does.....I may be wrong...but thats what i think it is.
                      if this is true then it will put more load on battery and spark plug may erode faster then its normal life.

                        Are you using any extra electrical fittings in your bike. If not then you can argue with the service center to replace the battery at free of cost.Bcz the MF battery comes with life time warranty.
                        I've used Air Horn that's why my battery got failed.

They quoted 1700 for the new battery. I didn't take it because I wanted to keep my options open and try to get a cheaper one also.
                          I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

                            what the hell they are.better you go for 7amp battery It's not direct fit so we have to do some cutting & welding on battery box but its worth to do.Amaron is giving 5yrs warranty. 1700 is too much for twister battery at the cost u can get exide 9amp battery.                               I think the price difference is because its Maintenance free(MF) type...while the normal ones are much cheaper...as can be seen from the price list link posted by rajaselvam. Anyone has measured the size of Twisters battery?...if we know the exact size then we can search for higher capacity battery that closely matches the size of stock battery....not sure if there is scope for modding the battery compartment.by the way Dazzler also has MF battery rated at 4 Ampere hour as compared to Twisters 3 Amp hr.
                              @horror,please keep us updated as you search for new battery.

                                Lol I'm planning to continue using the same battery for atleast a month, becuase except the starter, everything else works fine. And the bike also starts in one kick so :P.
