Ok, I see... that is cool, but, I guess, the company fitted ones are also from NGK, the normal ones.

while searching info abt NGK iridium spark plugs, it was mentioned that,it sparks higher amount of spark than the stock one and it gives smoothness over the acceleration, improvements with the throttle response and long lasting life...Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostNGK will not increase performance on our bikes. My twister crossed 20k kms but still the company fitted spark plug is good in condition. So better stay in original company fitted one.Hobbies : Riding

In a Higher capacity engine we need to burn more amount of fuel so we need a spark plug like NGK. But in a small capacity engine the stock plug is more than enough to burn the little amount of fuel.Originally posted by arjun123100 View Postwhile searching info abt NGK iridium spark plugs, it was mentioned that,it sparks higher amount of spark than the stock one and it gives smoothness over the acceleration, improvements with the throttle response and long lasting life...

Hi All,
I would like to know, If I change engine oil, a bit earlier, say within 800-900 Kms, will that anyway affect the longevity of engine ? I always feel that the engine oil goes black sooner, the smell of the oil feels like it has been burnt. But, guys here say that , we need to change engine oil after 1500Kms or so. Please confirm.

It will not cause any harm In fact I change engine oil at every 1000 kms.... It will be good and your bike will be well mainatined... also ensure u lubricateb chain every 1000km or one and half months whichever is earlier.....Originally posted by Ronits View PostHi All,

yes you can surely replace it as & when it starts turning black.New oil is always better then used oil & more often you change..its better for engine. change it within 1000km.There is no question of any harm to engine as new oil will do its job better then old one.Last edited by sachin1111; 11-22-2011, 12:05 PM.

I think there is some space left even after filling 8 litres...this is kept for safety reason..such as in the event of accident.but if you have filled 10.87 lit even after having 1.5 lit in reserve then total comes to 12.37 liters.Originally posted by rameshap View PostYes Sachin Please let me know about the seat cover that looks really cool.. BTW I filled fuel from my regular Bharat Pump Fuel station last friday... I ensured zero reading The bike had hit reserve and run for 14 km before filling.... at the pump after ensuring zero he started filling fuel and it went all way up to 10.87 liters... I cannot believe this I fill outside city as there is a diffrence of Rs 6 on litre due to Octroi.. If this is cheating then it fails the very purpose and I want to expose this to fuel company.. Can anyone confirm this on what is the max capacity of the tank.. company claimed is 8 litres.... I have filled 8.45 before but 10.87 with resreve amout of approx 1.5litrs in tank seems unconvincing.. my city mileage is 65kmpl
I do not think it can hold over 12 liters....it can probably hold about 9 liters after which it would spill out.
these crooks at petrol pumps have lot of tricks.I tried to catch them at HP bunk by carrying oil can a of 5 liters with markings at every liter written on the oil can.I carried the oil can in a back pack to hide it so as to make him think that i am going to fill it in bike's fuel tank.as soon as he told me to open fuel lid of my bike....i quickly removed the Oil can from back pack and told him to fill in the oil can...and boy...i could clearly see his hands fumble with confusion.he quickly changed the fuel hose to another one which was kept nearby saying some problem has occurred with it.I am sure he would have not done if were to fill it in the bike.
problem is that once filled in bikes fuel tank it cannot be proved, but with a measured quantity of oil can you can catch them red handed.....and they know it.Last edited by sachin1111; 11-22-2011, 12:42 PM.

I have written a letter to Honda requesting them to let me know the exact fuel tank capacity.. Next time around I am filling from a diffrent pump..... I will see how many kilometers my bike run this time before hitting reserve .. that way I will be able to judge the quantity of fuel actaully put.. if The bike hit reserve with +-5% diffrence its fine otherwise it will be black and white that the guy has cheated me.. BTW did u find the seat cover get one for me as well and let me know how to pay you.. Thanks in advanceOriginally posted by sachin1111 View PostI think there is some space left even after filling 8 litres...this is kept for safety reason..such as in the event of accident.but if you have filled 10.87 lit even after having 1.5 lit in reserve then total comes to 12.37 liters.
