But now i want to try on this CB-Twister as i find it really comfy to rideon , not to mention its astounding mileage..

I got my twister like 3months back after hearing great talk abut it .. was sceptical to buy a new one so instead got a second hand in brand new stat ... after almost 2months of searchin and interviews i got one that had barely done 1200kms (maintained at showrooom condition) . and was only 63 days from purchase.. also the price tag of 34k was quite luring considering a new one would have cost me almost 55k which i was not ready to spend havin a pulsar and a cbr250r in my garage ..

With a few lags on it like short mudguards that occationally let splatters on the rider and the thin wheels .. the bike is rather a BLISS ..giving me over 80kmpl at times and a minimal 67kmpl considering i mostly drive at 60kmph . yeah to my surprise it gives me better milaage at 60kmph than at 40 or 50 kmph ..:

Ok so here is the deal .. i plan to do a tour on this machine of about 2000km , CHennai-coimbatore-ooty-Blore-Chennai (with detours enroute).mostly non-spot runs.

So i need to know if this can handle running non-stop for 600kms at about 70kmpl ??

and am currently based in Chennai , so would like to know if there is someplace that could rig this bike up for a tour for me like Saddles and Power-ports and phone mounts ?? (power-port a must for me as i have the need to charge my phone while on the go ).(had done on the CBR but that was in Blore)

But most-importantly can this RUN for 600kms+ non-spot without stalling ? coz i have had the pulsar stall on me a couple of times whn i was at 80kmpl for almost 30mins...
Dont worry man Twister will never stall. i rode my bike Chennai - Hosur with a speed 90+ continuously. That time my bike just finished first service 800kms on odo.Started 6.30am from Chennia Royapuram & reached Hosur by 11am bcz my cousin have to attend Bangalore office by 12pm

And last month after finishing my 3month site work on Mysore.I planed to put bike on Volvo but they refused so i planned to ride on bike itself.so i rode Mysore to chennai 500kms continuously 8hrs as u said 80. started at night 10pm & reached chennai by morning 6am.You believe or not that time i don't have any safety gears even coolers only with shorts & sleeveless & my bag. so with open eye i rode. When i near to kanchipuram my eyes are tooo tired so i take 10min rest and had tea and started but friend be aware when you crossing walajha junction, bcz there road is not good so reduce your speed and come by 40kmph.when i reached Poonamalle there is lot of traffic due to TRUCK accident. So after seeing that i reduce my spped to 50+ & reached home by 6pm & got lot of scold from my mom.

But dont run more than 85+ that ll eat more fuel.

    According my twister millage

    40kmph to 50 - 70+kmpl
    50kmph to 60 - 60kmpl
    60kmph to 80 - 50kmpl
    85kmph to 100+ - 35 kmpl

      • Twister !! Doubts !!

        Hi Riders,

I booked cb twister, white last week.. I am novice to bike riding.. dont have much experience, as its my first bike.

        1. I heard that Twister default rear tyre skids.. Am bit scared about it now. does anyone had a skid experience ?? coz of the thin rear tyre...

        2. Thinking to replace the rear tyre with the MRF zapper 2.75" which is used for shine. If replace the tyre, will that affect the mileage and the warranty terms ???

        3. Could i able to replace the half chain guard with the covered one ?? if its possible, where could i get it.. ??? In chennai ???

        Ur valuable comments needed ...

First i congrats to you be a Twister owner.

Even i'm also learned the biking on twister only now completed 20k kms on this.

Ya as you said the back tyre is Skids even more on wet roads. Past two weeks rainy days in chennai my bike got skidded many times but my luck dint get fall down.So I'm thinking to replace my tyre to Michelin Pilot sporty 100x90x17.
Replace the tyre will not affect the warranty. ya mileage will drop few kms

I full chain guard is not available for twister.I too tried lot for this.
Company saying Chain sprocket to change 15k kms but still mine is good due to the maintenance.

congrats on getting your Twister!! The 2.75 tyre size is perfect for twister but the one on shine may not fit for Twister because shine has 18 inch rim while Twister has 17inch rims. Also bigger tyres will reduce mileage by 5+kmpl.skidding can be avoided by using both front & rear brakes simultaneously.

                • Plan for a first tour on a 110CC (fixed )

thanks rajaselvam_1987 for your insight . Have fixed the itinerary for the trip and hav decide wid a 4 of my friends (all on Twisters) to start from Chennai on the 5th Of DEC . [thought of leavin in 15days but guys hav got semester exams and so commitments]

we hav decided on route with typical 10stops for us over a 5day period.
                  *Chennai>Vellore>Krishnagiri>Bengaluru>Mysore>Ooty >Coimbatore>Salem>Cuddalore>Mahabalipuram>Chenna i
(may stretch it later ..thinkin on headin till kozhikode and dindigul ] and yeah also a trip till hyd in JAN - ..jan bikes not decided ..

anyhow estimate about 1500kms of travel with additional in city touring .
. fixed a full service appointment for my bike at JSP Honda,Anna Nagar[chennai] on the 1st so as to ensure perfect condition of the bike for the run .

Now the issues that i face is that i still need the following :
*SaddleBags [my Cbr250 saddle does not hold on this coz of the lack of sufficeint holding points]
*PowerPort [dont want to rip out from the other 2 bikes , might cause probs in the wiring]
                  *HID
*Phone/Gps Mounts [the one on the CBR is just fixed for life, and the one on the Pulsar once removed wont go back :P]

Can anyone suggest where i can the above in Chennai at a decent Price.

Coz one thing is i dont speak tamil :P so whn i ask a vendor near here he just gives me a blank stare wondering wht am asking :P and also the places where they do only cater to Cars ..

                  Pls Help..

                      Enjoy the trip guys.

Are you going to visit anything on Bangalore if not use nice road to get mysore road that is the easiest way, else you ll get struggle in Bangalore traffic from Electronic city to Kengeri that maybe nearly 3hrs wasteon that timing you can reach Mysore at least madur if you use Nice Road.

Ya i too installed HID but i'm not happy with this bcz its fitted in reflector so i cant get the full result from HID, so Go the HID with projector

One important thing when you filling Petrol in Karnataka they are cheating us Specially when they seeing TN Boards that may Bike or Car.Bcz I got cheated thats why i'm saying.

So when you filling the Petrol you guys dont talk to anyone even with your friends just look at the Petrol Meter.
Even if you looking at the meter, they ll cheat us, when they filling the fuel machine ll stop automatically cut at Rs.100 that's only meter reading on that time petrol don't come from machine. They ll say machine got cut by fault. after that they ll put petrol with 100Rs less for the amount you said exp if u said for Rs.500 they ll put for Rs.400 considering the Rs.100 cut by machine. So what we think they filled for Rs.500 but Rs.100 petrol loss for us.So be aware

I got it in Pudhupet but it's china made only.
                              H4 35W 8000K price Rs.825

Ya you can go the trip with stock tyres that is a good one until the road is dry

And one more thing for you, when you traveling in Bangalore to Mysore road try to go in daytime. Bcz that road is having lot of speed breakers & not painted in white strips. so that is not visible in night time even for truck lights. So be careful on there.
