  • Bad news for me.
    2 piece handle costs rs 3500 rupees(p220)
    my god. Its so expensive.
And about the rear tire,i only got 100/90 17". I saw it in new stunner 125. I dnt think 110 wil drive it smoothly.(may be)...So i m in confusion, what to do. 100/80 is shortage in market.

I asked the rim of twister for disc in honda showroom. But the owner said that i hav to spend 15000 to instal a front disk brake.I was shocked with that amount.

Friends, do i hav to spend that much amt for disc brake?

        • 15000 is seriously costly... Honda is going to launch the cbr250r is India next january... So if you don't have shortage of money... You can buy that bike...lol
I just got my bike spary water washed and cleaned and oiled, It works like butter now, everything from the chain to the gear shift is really smooth...
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

          • Congrats brother.

If i buy a bike in INdia, I will have to pay 110 % tax to bring it in nepal. So,I am not going to do that... I think we cant buy sport bike in Nepal if this matter of increasing tax goes on...

actually in india too imported bikes attract more than 100% tax which makes it more than twice expensive compared to original price.government policy is to make bike makers set up their plant here to generate employment, and it works since here the market is quite big i.e second largest in world and growing fast.but still high end bike makers like Harley Davidson,BMW,Kawasaki etc, have low demand hence they are bringing parts from abroad and assembling here for saving taxes.but yes, govt.should not put so much taxes for smaller capacity bikes as they are mainly for low-medium income class people looking for good mileage.

which bike manufacturers are there in Nepal and the popular models on street?

                  • This bike costs 152900 bucks here in nepal.... 2000 for road tax, 1200 for insurance, and fuel is 88 bucks a liter. I'm thinking of getting myself a twister (blue color) now that my daily commute has reduced to 10km to work and back.
                    My other choices are...
                    Hyosung RT125
                    Rieju Motors Marathon Pro 125SM
                    Suzuki GZ250
                    Pulsar 220F
Really liked Twister but confused about a bike with only 4 gears. How does it ride at 60 to 70?

Sorry but just couldn't hold up to see so little choices here in Nepal. Actually, Nepalese are spoil with choices for bikes. With both gray and legal bikes readily available, we are becoming like a small bike paradise. The day I heard that Hyosung was re-launching bikes in India, they had a showroom opened here.

Let me get back to the list.
                      1. Honda India (The Usual)
                      2. Honda Japan (Honda CBR600RR, Hornett, HondaCB1000R, HondaCB1000RR and XR250Tornado)
                      3. Hero Honda (The Usual)
                      4. Yamaha India (The Usual)
                      5. Yamaha Japan (VMAX, R1 and FZ1), Scooters (Mio and Soul)
                      6. Bajaj (The Usual)
                      7. Bajaj (KTM Dirt Bikes and Ninja250/600)
                      8. TVS(The Usual)

                      10. Suzuki (The Usual)
                      11. Suzuki Japan (DR150,DR250, GN250, GZ200, GSX Series, GSX-R series, Intruder, Hyabusa, B-King) Very soon coming some high-end scooters; models not disclosed yet.
                      12. Royal Enfield
                      13. Megelli
                      14. Reiju
                      15. Ducati (Very recently arrived, man I loved the thump of Monster)
                      16. Various other Chinese models which I don't think is very popular in Nepal.
                      17. There is one another Dirt-track race bike. I forgot the name. Will update it as soon as I remember it.

Twister is good. I gave up my beloved R15 temporarily and have been riding my Candy green Twister for last 1.2 months. Seems okay. But I did too find very awkward riding it above 60. With my previous experience being R15, I constantly kept looking for those 5th and 6th gear in Twister. So embarassing.

                      • @ iberry,

Twister is primarily a city bike.its gear ratios are made for city riding conditions.twister performance is either similar or better than some 125cc bikes. basically this bike works really well in 0-60km/hr speed.you do feel little lack of power in 60+speed but then this bike gives really good mileage(i am getting 72-74/lit on highway).Twister top speed is 95km/hr.so if you will be driving above 70 most of time then better go for 150cc bike like dazzler etc.

Ya..u r rite.. Twister is made for those who seeks mileage firstly...I am a student so, I had it..I have to feed it very low fuel cuz its mileage is great...

I also rode it upto 85kmph.. after crossing 65, the bike starts to swing when vehicle passes(bus, truck)...

So, I love my fiji blue Twister...

                          Twister Rocks..

U r from Nepal? Thats great...
I think we Nepalese dont have chance to buy heavier bikes... Now the tax and vat is raised again. I heard that the vat is going to decrease by 30-40 % for the bikes lower than 125 cc. I heard that cuz Nepal Sarkar is putting the 125 cc and lower cc bikes in Emergency vehicles..but what a luck for Nepalese..it is opposite...

So, best of luck for you...and for ur Fiji Blue Twister?

By the way, where are you from?

                            • I'm at Kathmandu at present. Will most probably be 46 lot when I get my Twister. What lot is yours? Currently riding RTR180, need the CB Twister for city. Everytime I see this bike esp in blue color i get that "just got to have it" feeling. I have to teach my wife how to ride a bike so Twister seems to be a good choice. Will definitely do an east to west ride on Twister and see how far it'll go on a full tank.

                              • Well, I'm quite disappointed with what I am getting it here in KTM, BTW. It did gave a mileage of around 60 before first servicing. But once the servicing was done, the mileage dropped suddenly to 40-45. Doing Reserve to Reserve testing this time around to see how much it will give.
