Does anybody have a loud clicking sound after driving the bike, I'm guessing it's from the chain because it's not properly oiled. I'm already having a few rusting parts, the stand is already half rusted and I also have wierd sounds from the bike when driving with a pillion rider. Does anybody have any tips for this? My friend says go to the local mechanic and get the chain oiled for Rs.5. Should I?Btw my bikes giving an average of about 52 kmpl. I normally drive about 60km/h speed since it's still in run-in period. Clocked around 300 km's.I'm sure that it can go atleast upto 80km/h easily, but I don't go upto that point though just a few times I do exceed 60. But the pick up is remarkable.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

I kept my speed under 50 till 500 KM. And till 1000KM I did not exceed 60.

Occasional bursts to higher rpms are in fact good for the engine. If you ride 90% of the initial 700 kms under 50-60 kmph, it makes a perfect runin.

Where does the sound come from?

Compare your bike's rusting problems with people in your area. In places like Goa & Mangalore, vehicles tend to rust more. If you feel the chain is the culprit, you should get it greased, though I am not sure if Rs 5 will do the job.

CB Twister's chain is not O' ring chain. It needs great attention to maintain it rust-free. Rusting is natural in rainy season if you do not take care to lubricate it very frequently (sometimes a day-after-day lubrication needed if you ride in rain).

What about the loud clicking sound after one parks the bike after a ride. The sound is most probably from the chain due to expansion and contraction. Does everybody have this? I always have this in my bike. How do I maintain my chain and my bike. Because I couldn't get a good parking place so it stays open in the rain. Should I get a whole bike cover? I live in mumbai. How do I lubricate various parts of the bike to protect them from rusting?

I've never heard any sounds after parking the bike!! I stay in Gujarat and its raining very heavily for the last 2 weeks (Ever since I bought my bike) here.. Thankfully I have had no problems with rust so far, though I drove in extremely water-logged roads.. I've been using a whole bike cover every time I park the bike overnight or during rains.. But thanks for the tips ravi, I guess I need to buy some lubricant soon then!! Any suggestions??

I'm getting a milage of around 50. My first service is up in a week or so. What I realised is that the chain is extremely loose. If I press the lower side of the chain and push it towards the upper side of the chain theres only 1 or 2 inches gap between them.
