Twister mega mileage compitition in Goa!!
hi everyone!! I participated in Twister mega mileage competition organized by Honda dealers in Goa last Saturday.all together 86 twister owners participated.each participant was given free five liter fuel and free T shirt besides snacks etc.test procedure was as follows. The fuel knob was set to off position thus fuel supply to caburator was stopped.then engine was started and kept in running condition till all remaining fuel in caburator was consumed and engine stopped automatically.after engine stops, the soft fuel pipe to caburator was removed and a bottle containing 100ml fuel was attached to caburator.(like a saline to a patient in hospital)the bottle was hung on handlebar.the test track was near miramar beach with little traffic.now let me tell you the 100 ml fuel quantity put in to bottle was not fully correct and some people seems to have got 5-10 ml more as seen on marker.I myself got about 5 ml more as can be seen on marker but then nobody complained as they would have got more mileage.now coming to results,The winner got phenomenal mileage of 125km/liter,and second and third runner up got 116 and 115km/liter respectively.I myself got a mileage of 98km/liter.as i had already reported my earliar mileage at 84km/liter on my test covering 320km.this twister contest was more of a ideal test condition on a straight road.winner got a mobile worth 5000,second winner got DVD player and third winner got 2000 RS cash.Last edited by sachin1111; 09-28-2010, 09:15 AM.

Even I participated in the Twister Mileage checkup camp last sunday.. In the first run, my mileage turned out to be around 55 Kmpl while everyone else got around 75 or more.. So the showroom people did some fine tuning and we tried another test run for my bike and this time the mileage came out to be 64 Kmpl.. They asked me to come back yesterday for another checkup, and this time one of the service people drove my bike... The mileage was 89 Kmpl!!! They said that if I improve my driving by using the clutch and brake less, I can easily get above 70!! I'm guessing that they kept slightly more than 100 ml of fuel the third time though..

Ya I would really like my green bike with the green seat....One more doubt..My bike stays in the open so is it ok if I cover my whole bike with a bike cover when it is parked? It stays under a tree and loads of dirty things fall on it.lol...I had my tyre punctured recently.....Got that repaired for a hundred bucks. Kinda costly. Is it OK if I use carnauba car wash on the bike? or car wax?I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.
