          TWISTER refuses to start

          All,
My bike refuses to start. There is some petrol in the tank. I need to check the spark plug. Is there anything else you can think of? HONDA service charges 200/- to fix the problem.

          Thanks.

There is no way they charge extra..unless any part change and its labor charge...

I think only consumables (engine oil/lubricants etc..) can be charged for before free services are finished.

The Twister was checked by a road-side mechanic who cleaned the spark-plug for Rs 20/-. The idea of checking the spark-plug occurred to me, but the spanners given in the toolkit cannot do the job effectively. I will buy a spanner with better torque support when I get a chance.

[The blackened spark-plug was cleaned in Kerosene and petrol to remove the 'soot'].

My tank ran out of fuel worth Rs 300 I had filled-up a month ago. My mileage calculations show me a disappointing return of 41 Km/Ltr. My colleagues believe petrol may have been stolen from the bike. How much are the others getting?

Did anyone go to the Mileage Workshop organized by SAPPHIRE HONDA {BANGALORE CITY} this past FRIDAY - the 9th of JUL 2010? Please post your experiences.

is this a theoretical mileage check?
Secondly, the run-in distance for the Twister is 500 KMs. I am sure many of us will have crossed it. Has anyone tried going between 60 and 80? How does the bike feel? Any vibrations or engine roughness?

They attach mini fuel cans with 100ml fuel in it and see how far the bike goes with that much fuel.

Absolutely no vibrations. I feel quite comfortable going up to 80. Haven't gone beyond 80 yet.

ya right 80 + is comfortable on single sit i dont do it freq but 50/55/60 is what i maintain

by the way i got 65/50 rs petrol this time for my fill up of 200 Rs
cost of petrol is 56 in mumbai
that 72.8 kms per ltr that to in rains :P
the skinny tires are helping i guess and the water too

by the way any tips on maintaining lubrication on chain ?
                              and any more tips

frankly speaking the rear shocks are slightly hard to my liking during rains .. the pothole mania rocks every monsoon season in mumbai and its taking the toll on my back but the drum brakes are up to mark and also the grip
i would like to know about the Honda's tweaked suspension - as reported earlier in this thread

i travel 24+x2 km every day this byk with its mileage is VFM and also its good to know the manual covers a lot hot spark plug/ cold ones even two types on engine oils
