Remember that not only twister but any bike will skid if only rear brakes are used as they lock very easily because during braking weight shifts to front wheels.
I thought front wheel braking can skid my bike so i always use to apply rear brake...I was scared that if i only apply front brake the front tire will skid..
    never experienced locking of tire..

what is locking of tire exactly?

and congrats on your new Twister .. welcome to the CLub

Hey Thanks, will post the picks as soon as i get it..

Hey can u please elaborate this 60-40 funda..I am a bit confused..
Do i need to apply both brakes at the same time or just 60% of power on front & 40% of power on rear brake...

      • It means that Tyre will stop rotating even when the bike is in motion.

Never pull the brakes suddenly,Front brake lever must be squeezed smoothly.

its actuall not a funda.. its a trick you learn out of experience...

more like a bit more force towards the front than the rear..

just try it on an empt road with any bike.. first use the rear brake lightly , thn slowly use the front aswell.. you will feel really effective braking.. from 60 to 0 in under 3meters with medium effort.. with more force can do under 2m..

do it a couple times and you will get the hang of it.. try it even on gravel or mud, you will fell the difference i n braking...

note that the 60/40 is just approx , will vary with the bike , the type of brakes and also condition of brakes/environment,
it will become instinctual once you get the hang of it.

kawasaki ninja 250's cost is more than cbr250r price..then how can we expect 150 version to be cheaper??

any idea about its price in india/?

              • the safest bet is to use both the brakes at the same time, front break a little more then the rear. indian road condition vary drastically so the techniques vary.Practice panic braking on empty roads, over using either of the brake will cause an accident like i found out when a old lady suddenly out of no where crossed the road and i panicked and pressed the front brake the tyre started screeching and the front went in to a wobble, so i released it a little and braked again. at high speeds specially using rear brake alone is very risky. 60% load on front brake and 40-35 load on rear you have to be the judge of that. practice is all i can say.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

front brake has more stopping power than rear break,so applying front brake more will reduce stopping distance.some braking fundas on indian road>
1.always keep your 2 fingers on front break lever.

2.while braking first apply rear slightly, then move back and squeeze front break firmly then gradually increase the pressure.before coming to complete halt only use rear brake for smooth stopping.

                  3. in panic situation apply the same rule as above and leave the clutch, don't press it.don't downshift,it increases braking distance.

4.try to avoid front brake on loose gravel, sand road.if necessary apply press and leave method.[constant pumping].

                  stopping distance=only rear>only font>both rear and front.

Ninja 250cc price will be higher then then Ninka 150cc...because Ninja 250 has two cylinder engine....so cost goes higher. Dont we have CBR 250 priced higher then CBR150? secondly two stoke bikes are cheaper to produce so there is a cost advantage.also two stoke bikes require less maintenance, less complicated and are more robust in construction so you can push then hard. good example of such two stroke bike is legendary Yamaha RX 100/RXG.
present Ninja 250 has higher price because it is not manufactured in India.the parts are imported as CKD and assembled at bajaj plants....so due to import duty Kawasaki has lost the cost advantage. If Kawasaki starts local production line in India...then it will give tough time to Honda.
