But when you put 1lt petrol and ride, the chances of fuel evaporation in an hour is very little. So try this by keeping your bike always above 50-70% or better still always go for tank full, this will return better mileage and save your money! And don't forget to do a full tank, run the bike normally for 3-4 days, again full tank and check mileage. This time you will surely get 60-65kmpl!

Tip: Its always better to do a full tank once in 10days rather than putting 50rs everyday going to the office!
thats right!! I have also experienced the evaporation losses of fuel. If i do not use the bike on daily basis the mileage drop is quite noticeable.this is most likely due to evaporation. I can clearly smell the petrol near fuel lead.I am unhappy with this...when i park the bike under direct sunlight the fuel tank becomes worm and the petrol smell is quite strong. so guys whats been your experience with this and also can we change the black rubber gasket/seal of fuel lid that actually seals the fuel tank?

Turning off the petrol valve can help.
Nothing much can be done to prevent evaporation except having full tank and parking the bike under shade.
It is very common for almost all bikes to lose fuel as vapors.

well not much can be done.. but you may try keeping a damp cloth (one of those big yellow/orange wiping ones u can get for Rs10-20) over the tank lid.. i keep one at all times.. not essentially damp but it does become as it reamins on it the whole time.. . its held in black by the tank bag/cover... i hav seen some people even hav some kind of plastic wrapper inside teh lid to seal tight the tank , idk if that is even safe...but i keep a cloth typically for regular everday cleaning of the bike but it does double up for this too

Spreading a damp cloth on the tank tucked under the tank utility rexine cover can help a lot.

note : if you plan to put a damp cloth ensure that you oil the lib a bit all ove except the gasket...also put some oil onto the key and run it into the keyhole..

all to prevent rusting .. coz damp environment promote rusts :P..

I'm bit lazy guy to rotate chain.

I accept with you. I made nearly 10trips Chennai-Bangalore on this mostly at night. Bike is really stable & smooth at high speeds.
Just using 10ltrs of petrol i completed the trip Chennai-Bangalore-Chennai.
Dont be lazy for this there is a video in the forum where a guy has actually lost his finger doing this watch that and then decide...

I always keep my tank full.... I fill it back when it reaches half level mark again to full tank. I have stopped calculating mileage as I know I get 68-70kmpl in city and 84 on Highway.. I maintain my bike well and get the results back as well. Honda full synthetic oil is doing a good job.. Engine is suoer silent even when reving hard... actually I took of helmet to check and at 70kmph bike was very silent.. just like stunner shine and unicorn.. So synthetic oil not only made it smoother but silent as well....Throttle 10w30 Honda oil black bottle....

I used to do the same....keeping fuel above half level mark.but after facing the petrol theft incident i was kinda forced to keep little fuel.both ways its causing loss.

                  • Dazzler HUD ~??

Guys any idea on how to mod the twisters console to match that of the dazzler ?? especially the buish white back light ?? of if possible the complete instrument cluster ?

of all the bikes out there i find the dazzlers cluster most appealing in terms of the tach region especially at night !

For one you will be loosing lot of fuel due to evaporation ..

not really sure about anyother issue..

but some ppl say it causes for more sedimentation possibility coz of
                        1.more regular refueling
                        2. Excess air with more dirt. < need more defenitive on that .

                        • I went for a one day trip to ooty. Insane riding. With the new tyre the mileage reduced to 44kmpl. 6 - 7 kmpls drop in mileage with the new tyre. Also the pick up is slightly less.

                          • Guys, i'm planning an upgrade to my twister,
surely no plans of selling out this one, but after 40k on the odo, i think its time for twister to take the back seat and i buy a bigger bike, prob a 250R.

Turning OFF the valve ll not stop the evaporation of fuel. We cant do anything to stop evaporation

Just replace the halogen bulbs in the console to Blue LED.But when you buying the LED's buy a AC-DC LED's
I did the same on my bike.
