( i am new to bikes, had activa and access before, so need some advice)
    i have few questions
    1. i am getting mileage of around 50 and i guess most of u here are getting 60+
    how to improve it?
You are new to bikes. So you have to learn well about usage of cluth & correct gears. So it'll take a week to learn about these all.So after a week you check your mileage

    2. what should be the Tyre pressure ? only 50% of the time i ll be riding alone
how often should i check it ?
Always a keep a pressure as mentioned in swing-arm.Regularly check the mileage once in a week. But I'm checking every 100kms.

    3. How often should i lubricate the chain ? which oil ?
It's all depends on the surrounding. But i recommend to tighten & lubricate every 500kms

    4. Sometimes after riding for around 30-40 kms when i put to neutral in
traffic signal, then when traffic signal turns green, gear doesnt change to
1st gear, i somehow managed with 2nd gear. what might be the problem ?
There maybe some clutch problem.Mention this when you go for your first service.

yes i am using motul. performance in much better then Honda oil and highly recommended for high speed runs. first few Km it does not feel that good...but after doing around 100km run, bike gets smooth and works well during long trips. priced Rs 230.

3)Give as much importance to chain cleaning then just lubrication. i have seen people just pouring oil and not cleaning it.due to this there is whole lot of dirt mixed with oil that accumulates on chain....which offers resistance to free movement of chain and causing mileage drop.
4)check if clutch adjustment is required. one way out is to directly shift from second to first gear when coming to traffic stop and hold the clutch till lights turn green...i.e just bypass the neutral. one more way is to hold the clutch and then slightly move the bike forward/backward then try shifting. other then this when engine oil becomes old then also gear shifts become difficult...in that case changing the oil will solve the problem. As you said your bike is one moth old....have you done the first service?if not then do the first service..it will solve these initial glitches.these are common problems that occurs when bike is new...need not worry.

          • I agree with rajaselvam on the first point. You ate new to using a bike so here's what I recommend: Do not use too much of breaks and clutch. They will cause a heavy drop in FE . Do not accelerate too much or too fast. Ease your bike into higher speeds after break in. Do not redline your bike. that means you shouldn't accelerate too much on a single gear. There are markings on the speedo as to how much you can accelerate to in one gear. Shift well before. That should help increase FE, atleast by 5-6kmpl. Cheers!

Did it effect the FE? I am not currently happy with the 60 kmpl i'm getting. I do not ride too fast. I do not want a drop in mileage.

              • Any updates on the suspension???
has anyone found anything better that matches the twister specs??

Anyways i had taken a test ride of cbr 250r, bike feels very smooth! except the turning radius is huge, i think i better not use it in city. i think i should wait for the 150 coz i plan to use the bike both in city and highway.

i dont think engine oil will make much difference in FE, unless it hasnt been changed for long.

@ raja, looks more like vih has to get used to shifting gears using clutch.

change your riding style... dont change gear frequently... dotn rev unnecessary... slow and steady rev will do the trick... dont give rev and put break often...
your bike is only one month old...so dont worry mileage will automatically increase after 2 serivce and after 1500km riding.bike indeed giving around 65 to 70kmpl

every time you put petrol ... pump some air enough

                      4. Sometimes after riding for around 30-40 kms when i put to neutral in

rock your bike to and fro simultaneously shift gear. it will come to 1st gear

Good decision u have taken. We are not going to use the bike in track. In Indian High ways 140kmph is more than enough CBR150R ll do it easily & also it'll deliver good FE in city. So CBR150R is a good choice.

                        • Guys today i got installed mobile charger in my bike.
To keep it away from water i kept the entire kit under the seat & connected directly to battery.

Ramesh, my bike is past 23000 kms. Next oil change is due. What are the benefits of synthetic oil? and Off topic: I'm planning to buy another bike. After a lot of confusion fixed on the new pulsar200 (if there are no major glitches ). But recently, I saw a second hand cbr for 1.4 (nego). As you own one, let me ask you this. How's it compared to the high end desi bikes? Maintenance, handling and mileage? Read some engine seizure, color fading and unavailability of parts in the forum. Please PM me the reply if it's against forum rules to discuss off topic.
