for the time being no ecu re-map.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
        #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

there are 5 performance bikes to choose from....namely CBR250,CBR150,KTM Duke,Upcoming Yamaha 250cc,and pulser 200NS.out of these, the CBR250 and Upcoming Yamaha 250 are best for Highway riding, the CBR 150 will be good for both City and Highway, and KTM duke is best for City and off road riding.Pulser 200NS is good value for someone on strict budget .now this does not mean some are bad in city and others are good only on highway.....its just that they are build for specific purpose.in general they are all good....go for one that best suits your requirements.as for now it is best to play wait and watch game as the battle has just began.follow XBHp forums of all above bikes to know more details and post your questions.
I will be taking a test drive of KTM Duke on monday...will update my observations.

Yamaha 250 will come only in 2013 as company said ... and yeah will wait for the 150R .. but the pulsar has caught my eye ...need to get a test ride on it..

but i think the KTM would be the best bet.. its an offroad sports bike so will obviously perform well, and is built for punishment..

Yamaha is known for performance bikes...they have been making best looking bikes and extract maximum performance with some compromise on fuel economy where as Honda always try to maintains balance between performance and fuel economy. For city riding KTM is perfect provided you like the naked street fighter looks. I am also impressed with reviews of Pulser 200NS...as per reports they are now neck to neck with Honda in terms of Handling and Engine refinement.....now if they can prove their quality they will be game changer.

Yes it does feel a bit smoother with leaded petrol. I have tried speed in the past.

                            • hi everyone, my twister is more than a month old now
overall i feel its a good bike
( i am new to bikes, had activa and access before, so need some advice)
                              i have few questions
                              1. i am getting mileage of around 50 and i guess most of u here are getting 60+
                              how to improve it?
                              2. what should be the Tyre pressure ? only 50% of the time i ll be riding alone
how often should i check it ?
                              3. How often should i lubricate the chain ? which oil ?
                              4. Sometimes after riding for around 30-40 kms when i put to neutral in
traffic signal, then when traffic signal turns green, gear doesnt change to
1st gear, i somehow managed with 2nd gear. what might be the problem ?

I have heard many members complain of this problem. It depends on how ur breaking in your bike. Do not cross 40-50kmph. It will damage ur FE forever. Keep ur tires healthy. Fill in air every 15 days. More inportantly, change ur engine oil and service your bike every one and a half months. This will ensure the best performance. Keep a tab on where u are filling fuel. many places give bad and adulterated fuel. Not only will mileage drop, the engine will be damaged due to overheating and other factors.
                                2. what should be the Tyre pressure ? only 50% of the time i ll be riding alone

Second part answered above. Keep it a standard 35-38ps in the rear tire. The front at 25-28 ps. You know you have to fill in air when the bike becomes a lil sluggish, or the bumps in the road become less pronounced.
                                3. How often should i lubricate the chain ? which oil ?
Our bike has an unprotected chain. Lubricate everytime you fill air. Recommended is to do it every week, as i've heard some members discuss. But I do it every 15 days and chain and bike are gr8 after 11k kms. But it is important that you dont just lubricate it. U have to pay equal attention to cleaning it. Browse through the forum. U'll find many ways to clean the chain. Follow one u understand. As for the oil, buy motul. I use it. A lil costly but it keeps the chain healthy.
                                4. Sometimes after riding for around 30-40 kms when i put to neutral in
traffic signal, then when traffic signal turns green, gear doesnt change to
1st gear, i somehow managed with 2nd gear. what might be the problem ?
This is a common problem. I remedied it in two ways: 1)stop the bike in first gear. We have a very efficient electric starter. Use it. 2)Start the bike, it will go to first gear easily. Or Raise the throttle a little bit, it will change. I do not know why this happens though. The SC ppl are useless. They do not know either.
