I never said Honda using 100/90-17 TVS tyre in twister.I said the tyre pattern look like TVS tyres

      michelin has now launched
3.00-17 52P REINF PILOT SPORTY....this size seems perfect to me because this size is nearly same as stock tyre but slightly smaller then 100/90-17.so it will not result in any mileage drop and since it has soft compound it will provide better grip then stock MRF. what you guys think of this?
Ya when i brought 100/90-17 for my twister the shop guy shown this 3" tyre too, both are look same but only size different

just checked what problem you were havin... yes it does happen nothin to worry ..its just you wind the kick to the limit.. you dont need to kick that much to start..

just a little kick (about 35-40 degrees on the kicker) is enough to start....
i believe you put too much weight durin kick that causes the thump..

try to kick such that the limit is the level when your foot is parrell on the foot rest.. or you may try to keep toes on the footrest and heel on the kicker and light force to the heel .. note limit again till parellel to foot rest.. bt dont try often ..only till you get the hang of how much to kick .. too much tryin may cause heel/ankle pain.so do at own risk.. i suggest only for practice and getting to know the kick...

it actually boils dowm to preferance .. i prefer the CBR250R for whn hav long-distance runs.. and twister for in-city.. mileage i get 40-45 from the CBR250R and for wht hav gathers from 150R tests , it returns 50-55... so for me thats not much .. and considering the Length of the 250R it has more comfortable seating , ideal for long driving times..

yeah the CBR150R may be more agile , but that is purely coz its lighter by almost 32kgs and also shorter...

but considering the power and speed and comfort a..250R.. and 40+ for a 250cc ? is seriously a deal breaker..

i had felt the same in between.. are the rear ones that are having the problem >>??

if so just check the coils.. for me i had dirt stuck between them coz of rains which had dried.. dirt ranging from just muck to small pebbles... also check the plastic covers/holders under the spring towards the tor that is where the stuck happens mostly...

clean the springs throughly and thn see.. may be it might help.. but am not sure ..it worked for me

Guys i'm totally confused. I'll be using the bike for touring purpose mostly and very little city riding. So wouldnt a 250 be better with more top end?

done re-conditioning my rear shocks twice. once at 33k and once about 38k. now its time for new ones. planning to get shocks which are adjustable but of the same size. still doing research about it.

I have cleaned them completely and re-filled the hydraulic fluid, but the damn thing just bounces back on springs, no shock absorbing action at all. My back hurts in city roads now a days.

go for cbr 250 r all the way if you are more of a highway mile-muncher and if you have the moolah.
p.s. cbr 150r can also tour.

for touring id suggest the 250R .. but still if you are not convinced try it out for a test drive and see ..you cal feel the sheer power... and also you can flawlessly cruise at 100+ and get decent mileage 35-40 ... bring that down to 60-80 and mileage rises to 40-45...

try out test drives .. even for the 150R if possible and choose what suits.. being honda engines all are suitable for touring its the load capaity and top speeds that will vary... all honda engines can take some serious punishments

                          • actually twister's shocks are very basic one,so damping ability is not that great.

yeah 250R but choice is yours .. .. *250R for power and speed
                                *150R for mileage and handling.

btw 150R does not offer C-ABS . which is a life saver whn u hav to brake suddely.. i use mine to the core.. i come cruising at 75 and suddenly hit brakes hard and yet minimal or no skids ...yeah ! i know i cant flaunt the bike much that way but being in chennai where anyone may just jump in front of u .. i can just hard brake without worryin of falling or skidding ..

                                150R expected to be 1.2lac, 250R 1.6lac ,250R(c-abs) 1.9lac..
