  • hey bikers

    Hi guys,
i had bought CB twister(electric yellow).
The bike is doing great. Have run 3100km already and i get almost 70 mileage.

Only one thing, twice i skid due to the rear tyre.
I noticed that a rear tyre has no pattern on the middle of the tyre.
Is this a valid problem? or its something else?

I also thought buying a bigger tyre like the stunners.
    Good Idea??

Yep,no central groove on rear tyre. Not a big problem tho. Ya,u can go for bigger rear tyres as some of xBhp Twister members have already got one at the cost of pick up and mileage!

Well,i guess no...Larger diameter heavier tires take more energy to spin and will lower your Mileage!

              • nope man

just last week i did my 3rd service.

I havent changed the oil on my own
Have to get a engine oil for the next time. I suppose, Castrol 20-40 or 20-50 is good.
(And of course, Motul Chain Spray i have to buy.)

Ya,dats cool..I am using Casrol Activ 4t 20W40 rite now. My bike is due for 3rd servicing this Feb n so i was planning to go for some good value engine oils from Motul,Elf or Shell. Yes,I am also searching for the Motul Chain Spray, but it seems in Bhubaneswar, no1 has heard of chain sprays! All are asking to lubricate chain using burnt engine oil!!

                  • Honda's engine oil quality is far better than Castrol. I would suggest you guys to stick with Honda's oil. Honda's engines behave best with Honda's oil.

They make flawless copies of bottle ,labels and seal .. don't ask me how I know . So don't depend on that for the genuine-ness of your oil . Upto now I know only two guaranteed sources of genuine oil .(a) listed authorised service centre of your bike manufacturer and their listed authorised parts dealers (b) well maintained petrol pumps of larger oil companies like IOL/HP/BP .So ravi'jee suggestion to stick to honda oil from ASS is indeed good . For other oils you can try gulf 20w40/10w30 whichever is the correct grade for your engine ( as per your owner's manual ) . I don't think 20w50 is good for twister , too heavy .
To clean & lubricate chain .. clean with kerosene and tooth brush , wipe dry with cloth . Get a half-liter bottle of SAE90 or EP90 gear oil from any petrol pump ( ~Rs 75~90 ). Put few drops on the tooth brush and oil the chain sparingly by spreading it on . repeat for full chain . wipe off drip . immediately go for a short ride . Baas . Done . If you are lazy boy with money to spare , buy the motul chain cleaning/lube spray set .

I agree with pinaki. During running in period and first 5000km it is best to stick to Honda engine oil. This oil actually helps in proper running in of engine. If anyone wants to experiment with other oils,do so after 5000km or after first four servicing.

Actually the grooves in tyres are made for allowing the water trapped between the surface to escape during rains. There are tyres from dunlop, ceat,MRF, of 100/90-17 size which should work but you will have to leave with drop in fuel efficiency and also some drop in pickup.make sure you get tubeless ones and not regular one with tubes.also remember that putting larger tyres with void engine warranty if any problem arises.

Go for Honda Twister as it is simply the best bike you can buy in commuter segment. Passion Pro, Glamour looks too boring & bland in front of this 110cc beauty...it is almost as powerful as the Glamour. It also hosts a variety of features and is stylish as well...
