will surely try from spares section fellow and the distributer...thanks s1d!!Originally posted by s1d View PostBribe another mech at the svc
, or better bribe the guy sitting in the spares section.. they are the ones who have the parts manual and service manual with them.
Or you could go to a honda spares distributor in goa and ask them. Check out the hmsi website under the NETWORK > PARTS LOCATOR , this may contain one or two spares distributors (not necessarily SVC's) who maybe able to source the svc manual.

i need suggestion about the rear tyre change...please help me in this!!!!
In-case if your bike is brand new use the stock tyre for at-least 10k kms. Because you have paid for the tyre too so use it as max possible, don't waste the money by changing the new tyre to new one..

A Simple MOD
Hello riders
I have a small mod for you all which anyone can do on a Twister without any other tools except a philips screw driver and a flat screwdriver. Do this only if you don't run in wet weather, do not run on this trick when it rains.
The trick:-
Open the Right hand cover on the air filter side with the philips screw driver and you can find the air filter with a bent rubber bellow/pipe running from the filter box to beneath your seat. Pull it out, dont worry, its rubber and can be reinserted if needed. Now close the side cover and screw it back the way it was. Keep the rubber bellow in your seat compartment so that you dont lose it. Now come to the left side of your bike, Remove the battery cover and find the fuel screw on the carb, refer to a few pages back on this thread to find it in case you are unfamiliar. Make sure it is set at factory position, if not refer to this thread to set it so. Now, rotate the screw with the flat screw driver 180 degrees clockwise so that it looks exactly the way it was before adjustment.. Will look something like ( \ ). Now close the side cover back and start your engine. Take it for a spin and check out the sound and acceleration
What do I get?
-The acceleration and deceleration improves marginally and more smoothly.
-The flat feel when you accelerate as like on a 100cc is now gone, more beastly.
-Awesome sound when you twist the throttle from 40Kmph to 60 at around 5k RPM like K&N
-Unaffected fuel efficiency due to unchanged air:fuel ratio. I get 70-75 at 60Kmph on highways, but the sound always gives me the urge to accelerate frequently :-\
-Quicker throttle response as air is available on demand, not restricted.
So what happened with this:-
The air flow rate and intake sound is controlled by the rubber bellow by Honda to make it silent and soft as a commuter bike, as most elderly people wont like their bike to be full of adrenaline. You remove it, you let more air and the engine breathes easily. But with more air in, more fuel is burned, so we made the mixture more lean so that the air-fuel ratio matches, yet retaining the sound similar to a performance air filter. We have a paper filter by stock similar to what K&N makes, so why spend more money?
What are the cons?
Its more hard for me to run this bike like a commuter as the sound is so awesome I keep accelerating hard every chance i get at every signal which everyone knows reduces the fuel efficiency a bit.
DO NOT KEEP THE BELLOW REMOVED DURING RAINY SEASON. Just plug it back in, reverse the fuel screw tuning and go back to your normal life :P
Enjoy the ride!

hi joseph, the factory position of fuel screw i have observed on many twisters including mine looks like this (/) and not like this( \ ).Originally posted by joseph.alukka View PostHello riders

and to bring screw to same position with one full turn clockwise you will have to turn it by 360 degrees and not 180 degrees. The rubber bellows/tube seems to have been fixed to air box...i mean the ruber does not look flexible enough to remove and put back in air box. I feel that rubber will get cut if we try to pull it out from air box. yes i agree there will hardly any restriction to flow of air.....thats why that sound feels good....but since you have given one turn clockwise that means lesser fuel going to engine and more air going to engine(as there is no restriction of that curved rubber tube)....which means air fuel ratio will become lean....right? your mod is quite good since we are running with stock air filter...only thing is to carefully re-adjust the fuel screw to avoid lean mixture.Last edited by sachin1111; 12-22-2012, 03:01 AM.

So bro as a start, please check the above pic. Its my stock setting, never touched by screw driver by me before taking this snap and gives 75kmpl. You can even notice blue marker from factory. And my twister is the early model.. Its 2.5yrs+ old , so maybe earlier setting was \ and not / . So if you turn 180 degrees as I ve shown in pic, it will look the same and to bring it back, you should turn 180 backwards or anticlockwise, so it becomes as in the picture. And no, the bellow is not fixed, donno if design changed later, it comes out if you squeeze the neck out out, to confirm, you can open the filter box and verify if its fixed or not. It wont break, its polyurethane and not even rubber technically and is used to make bumper cases for phones mostly. Please open the filter box to confirm if in doubt.
And about the fuel, always the air:fuel ratio should be constant which is normally 14.1:1. We can burn 14 grams of air per 1 gram of fuel per second or even 28 grams of air and 2 grams of fuel, but still ratio is same, power increases and no problem. If we try to burn 15:1, the mixture is lean and power drops, if its 14:2, power goes up, fe drops. so when we remove bellow, 14:1 becomes somthing like 21:1.5 which is the same ratio, but more fuel consumption. so we control the fuel now.
We can let in our carb setting by default and it lets enough fuel in, but air is restricted. Without sufficient air, no fuel can burn, no matter how much we supply it. So the factory fuel screw position is fine. But when we let more air in, automatically, the extra fuel also burns and drops FE, so we make the mix leaner with the screw adjustment. Hope you got the point.
And no its not 1 turn, its 1/2 turn, ie, 180 degrees. You may also try 135 degrees for a bit more power.
I experiemented quite a bit with it and I found the 180 degree to be best for sound+performance+mileage. If 180 makes your engine stall, make it 135 which is between 1/4 turn and 1/2 turn like 4:30 in the clock
If your default setting is /, maybe you will do fine with 135 degrees, please check.I got 73/74 kmpl yesterday with a good level of fun with the throttle
It changes the feel of your bike. thats the best part!

1. I don't think installing a digital Speedometer is possible, Because digital speedometers using sensors but our analog meter using cables.Originally posted by Dhaval Sinh Yadav View PostHey Evrey one I Just Got the Delivery of mY Twisty ..I had some question about it .

2. Installing Projectors will burn your battery. So without electrical modification don't use projectors,
3. This Highly secured No Plates costs 450rs pair here in cheanai
4. Roots windstine is a good choice. If you want a multiple tones use Cut out else use only relay for single tone.
Then you can blindly go for Michelin.Originally posted by shubhakv View Postthanks for the welcome rajaselvam_1987.....

Every engine is made only for it's own performance. In engine every parts are designed for that particular performance only. If you simply increase the burning rate alone initially it'll
show performance but later it'll kill your engine. If this is the way to increase the engine performance then why should we have to go for a bigger capacity engines. We can simply increase the air fuel ratio & get a good performance & also as you said we can get a good mileage too.
Simply increasing the air fuel ratio alone will definitely kill the engine that's why the engine modifiers are modifying the entire engine parts like bore,piston,crank,......
HONDA is making their own engines & they are having big R&D for engine too. They knew how to design a particular engine for a particular performance.
Have you ever seen a 110cc commuter bike with this much power with good mileage. If you want a good performance then go for a higher capacity bikes don't kill your engine.
