Ignored them and checked out a spare parts dealer. Went for a LGB Rolon. The dealer said that Rolon is used as OE kit by Honda(not sure about this though). Having known about LGB already I went for it. MRP was Rs1170, Paid 1000Rs and 150Rs for labour(including few petty things). There is a perfect fit for Twister with Rolon.

14/43.. you are overgearing with 15/43 is it? 'petty' includes cleaning up brakes, adjusting clutch play

bro, you already under geared your bike... you didn't notice any difference after new sprockets? Twister comes with a 42 teeth rear sprocket. A 43 teeth rear sprocket would make it even short geared than it already is, wouldn't it? I was hoping to get a smaller sprocket on the rear end. If that's not possible, then yes, a 15/42 arrangement it will be.

My Twister is 30 months old and have completed 19800kms. Will post an ownership review shortly. Was looking for a 100/90-17. With Zapper C on mind went to the dealer this weekend and got quote of Rs.2175 with fitment (Changemytyre.com says 2000). When I was about to finalize this just asked about other brands and was informed about Michelin Pilot Sporty and CEAT's New Tubeless Tyre. Now I already knew about Michelin and didn’t want it. Also knew Ceat has Vertigo sports tubeless and expecting that button pattern tyres, I was surprised to see the new worm pattern tyre. It ‘felt’ it would perform better and actually was looking good and ‘felt’ little wider. It is called CEAT ZOOM Tubeless. Dealer quotes 2000Rs for this tyre, with 2 yr guarantee and promises it will last 30-35K kms and will perform ahead of Zapper. Now I am confused. Have seen a Twister with Vertigo but have not seen any bike with this ZOOM.. So thought of surfing for reviews before finalizing. To my surprise couldn’t find any on net.I am not able to checkout Ceat website as of now Please help is it a safe bet to go for this CEAT ZOOM? .

hi,6th gear...welcome to forum!! i also have not seen any CEAT ZOOM tyre so far. but tried to search on ceat website and found their product catalog link in pdf given below

looking at this product specification it shows zoom tyre are available in size as 2.75-18 and 3.0-18 This means they are made for rim size of 18 inch....so its not compatible on twister since rim is 17 inch. better check the size again. MRF Zapper C Tubeless 100/90R 17 are good...and have seen them performing well on twister.

Okay a typo there. It is 42 and not 43. Ride Safe, 6G

its sad to see bajaj cant make anything of their own.bajaj had hired a BMW designer for designing 200NS....but he did ended up coping Honda's CB1000RR.
              P200NS = CB1000RR design + KTM engine surrounded by 3 spark plugs.

Thanks Sachin1111. I checked this tyre out with Zapper C alongside. Sure it is CEAT Zoom Tubeless 100/90-17. The pattern is similar to the one in the link(size is different and it is a tube type here).

It is surprising that even in CEAT's website no details of this tyre is given. when you click on Ceat Zoom here, you get the details of M86. The looked so promising hence the dilemma now. Planning to check out in a Ceat store today/tomorrow

ok...if its 17 inch then that size and number logo will be written/embossed on tyre itself.... like CEAT ZOOM-100/90-17 or CEAT ZOOM-75/R 17 etc.if you check that then it will be confirmed.

                    • Friend in my own experience i'm saying Michelin pilot sporty is really superb. The grip is excellent in both wet & dry surface.
The life is also good i've clocked 15k kms still 75-80% of thread is there.
Once i got puncture even on the puncture condition i've drived at 40kmph upto 5kms to get puncture shop that to too much of path holes road.
The only disadvantage of this Tyre is, it's not having grip in mud Most of the Tyre will not have the grip in mud even truck tyres also.
So Michelin is a good tyre you can try this too.

Hey Raj! except for the tyre life, I am game for Pilot sporty. the dealer was also saying there are bad reviews on the tyre life but this is one of the best when it comes to grip. Good to know that your tyres are doing good. Sure will check this out too, nanba! any idea on the ceat that i have mentioned here?

Pilot sporty has very good grip....but for some unknown reason michelin is not bringing tubeless tyre in 100/90-17 size.hope they bring it in 2013.

                          • guys, I have been searching for CB Twister maintenance/service manual for last one year...but so far not succeeded. I even tried to bribe a local honda ASC mechanic to get a photo copy of Service manual...but could not get it. I want to upload it on internet so that anyone interested can learn to open the engine for repairs by looking at instructions given in service manual. Anyone have any idea how to get it?

Bribe another mech at the svc , or better bribe the guy sitting in the spares section.. they are the ones who have the parts manual and service manual with them.
Or you could go to a honda spares distributor in goa and ask them. Check out the hmsi website under the NETWORK > PARTS LOCATOR , this may contain one or two spares distributors (not necessarily SVC's) who maybe able to source the svc manual.
