4 Stroke spark ignition petrol engine with a carburettor was first mass produced in 1864.

Honda made its first mass produced motorcycle only in 1946 (82 years later). You sound as if it was Soichiro Honda who invented the 4-stroke petrol engine!

As for innovations, I would first like to ask you how you define the term 'Technology'.

And I also have to ask you again, Have you been living under a rock for the last 11 years?

P.S.: Talking only about Bajaj Auto(Who has 32 granted patents and 74 published patents in the Indian Patent registry). I agree with you on the Hero Honda / Hero Moto corp bit whose only patent is for “STORAGE AND SHIPPING SYSTEM FOR TWO WHEELED VEHICLES” in the same registry

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

no iam not under the rock bro. u say bajaj do not copy design? chck out new pulsar 200ns which is a exact carbon copy of some honda bike.
i think u have such furious attitude just becas u own a bajaj bike thats it. u urself know the truth but dont wanna accept.
tvs is much better that bajaj n hh. tvs has not borrowed tech from anyone it has done r&d itself. i dont have indepth knowledge of the legacy of bajaj.
well as far as technology is concerned " it is a means that provide u advantage over other competetors in the market" i dont think hh or bajaj has one. i just heard abt bajaj dtsi, dont know in details, g=but i dont think it provides any advantage to bajaj.
if iam correct dtsi is digital fuel injection system. correct me if iam wrong. and if iam correct, than milage of bajaj bikes should be higher than any other bike on the market (thats the purpose of fuel injection, to increase FE). but it isnt euhh!!!

I think so yes its a o ring chain, my bike's chain sprocket lasted about 30k, but the symptoms of a failing sproc started at 16k i pushed it to the max.

I doubt if you have ever seen either of those bikes with your own eyes. Anyways there are perceptible differences in design language which is even visible if you look at the pictures closely. What you just wrote could also mean that you and me are exact carbon copies of each other, because both of us have 2 eyes, 2 ears, 1 nose, 2 nostrils, 2 eyebrows, 1 mouth, between 28-32 teeth and some hair on the head!

So If I go to a nearby showroom right now and buy a Hero Honda Splendor right now, will the Indian Patent registry transfer all 106 Patents owned by Bajaj Auto Limited to Hero Honda Motors? Because the only reason they seem to have those patents since 1983 is because I bought a Bajaj bike in 2009 it seems..

FYI, the RTR engine is based on the basic Suzuki Fiero Engine. The same engine which TVS has been tinkering with since the launch of the TVS Fiero F2 back in 2004.

The TVS Flame 3 valve engine was developed by AVL of Austria (Same company who developed Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari 2.2 liter diesel engines).

Try to read up more, it is a wonderful world around you. As already pointed out by my friend here, this is a pointless discussion. You don't even know what DTSi is let alone knowing what it is for.

Finally, try to write in proper English. SMS language is good only where you have a 160 character limitation. It is certainly not good on this forum since it is against Forum Rules (Read #3 and #7).

@Baazigar Thanks for the response. I am officially off this thread now.

@antz.bin: ur most welcome, please dont reply to flaming posts as the unnecessary debate just keeps going on and on.

I'm doing about 40k kms on my twister now, there is no way a twister can do 120, not even in a slope, so please upload a small video for this great feat of yours as i seriously cant believe it!

I have held it at full throttle for long enough to feel the bike has nothing more to squeeze out.

sure if i get a chance to ride on that road. btw how to make a movie using mobile? at 120 i dont want to leave my hands off the handle and unstability at that speed will cost me my life.

                          • guys lets not clash with Bajaj V/s Honda.the big Japanese 4....Honda,Yamaha,suzuki and kawasaki are ruling in 2 wheeler market around the world.they are spending major chunk of their earning on research and development...and they are in this field for many decades then Indian companies like Bajaj and Tvs who are relatively new players trying to catch up and establish their own R&D and skilled people.bajaj and Tvs are not having superior R & D capability like the Japanese 4 and that's why they are collaborating with others...like bajaj working with KTM and TVs with AVL and now even Hero moto is trying to take over Ducati to get access to super bike technology....as their partnership with Honda ends in 2014. personally i like Honda,Yamaha products but i also admire bajaj for the kind of progress they have made in short period of time & are progressing fast.Even Chinese companies are big copy cats and they hardly innovate but Indian companies are getting newer technologies by buying out foreign brands and that's why they will continue to grow from where others have left.

Payeng bro, I got a sincere doubt (off topic). How do you get updates from a lot of threads? Have you subscribed to all of them or do you just hop around the threads? Just wanted to know if there is any easer way which I'm missing.
