Good for a Rs49000 bike. You can buy the LEDs from any auto electric shop (guys who sell horn and all). The strip costs Rs20 per 3 lights. I bought a strip of 6 lights. And the auto electrician charged Rs30 to fix it. By the way, I bought it just to let the oncoming traffic and jaywalkers know that something is coming on their way (in the day time). I have a habit of riding the bike with headlights on. and people keep on pointing at me that the light is On. So the solution I found is the LED strip (all time on as audi A4..lols).Originally posted by rameshap View PostLove the ride, not the destination

Rs280 was the price told by one service center for the part. But it was not available there. I wanted to buy it and do it oustside coz I hate 'honda after sales and service' So I went to another but they dont sell parts there. So the only option left was to leave the bike with them to change it there. As expected they called me up later and told me that since it's over 15000 kms they changed (yes... past tense) fork oil too without my permission. Since I read it somewhere in the forum that it's good to change fork oil in every 10000 kms I didn't shout at him. So the total cost for con set change, chain adjusting nut and fork oil change is Rs 665.Originally posted by sachin1111 View PostRix,how much you paid for new cone set?

How about a pulsar135 type mud guard(may be ,even longer)?
A white 'HONDA' sticker on the crowl and tank same the RTR sticker on the Apache?
My twister's color is red. Please let me know your suggestions.Love the ride, not the destination

Twister looks great in the original design. Believe me I get stares from all sexes at traffic lights. Among the HH Splendor's, Passion Pro's , Discover's, Platina's it's look beats and my colour (Candy Palm Green) point's the bike distinct out of the crowd. Design's look etc.. are again personel choice's .I fell Honda did a good job keeping the sticker team away from the twister design. I suggest you keep the original looks

Very few posts here on this very important topic - suitable eyewear for bikers but I think it's OT in this thread . I'm very particular about sunglasses
. Biker's glasses are more about function than style IMO .
The requirements for a biker's sunglasses are many & exacting -
i) should have full UV (a & b) protection
ii) durable & washable & scratch-proof and shatter-proof on impact .
iii) should not alter colour of traffic signal lights
iv) should cut thru distance haze and on-comming glare
v) should be coated on the inner surface to prevent ghost image from behind the lens
vi) should not fog up during use
vii) should not let in light fron sides etc (wrap around design preferable)
viii) should be wearable comfortably under a helmet and can be put on and taken off without removing the helmet etc etc .
I am presently settled on a large size ( one size larger than my need ) Serengeti Drivers Gradient in classic aviator design steel frame - from Corning Optics USA , it was designed for driving and is my best yet . On very strong sunny days a RayBan G-15 grey lense aviator feels best , cooling effect on the eyes
, but I don't recommend it for riding , too dark if not sunny outside . Their B-15 brown lense is good for driving though .
There has been some initial complaints about Titan's Fast-track sunglasses having residual diopter in the lenses causing headaches to the wearer on long wearing . Hopefully they have corrected this by now . But check it and buy from company shop for warranty and after sales support . Otherwise the design is nice and it is very light to wear , comfy too .Last edited by Pinaki; 08-21-2011, 01:36 AM.

pinaki ji,thanks for this info.I am on a bit low budget of around 1.5k.where can i find these Serengeti Drivers Gradient. I saw some driving eye wear on websites of helmet makers like Studds & Vega.the studds looks bit funny, vega looks good but are not easy to find in retail stores.
I would prefer one with clear glasses not the tinted ones,as i am ok with bright sunlight.my main concern is dust and air that hits the eye when i am riding at high speeds, this causes irritation in eye.Last edited by sachin1111; 08-21-2011, 02:39 AM.

Yes I understand your requirement perfectly .. we all suffer from this problem . Then I would suggest you check out the Titan fast-track showroom only ... within your budget and reputable eyewear .. good design & quality... very light & comfy too . If you can't get a clear one , try a light yellow / orange tinted one .
Serengeti drivers is not available here , also a bit expensive .
About the studds & vega ones ... I'd rather not buy eye-glasses from helmet makers
. Unless you want those strap on vintage-style full-cover biking goggles ofcourse .

Ji I found the Bosch & lomb / Rayban Ambermatic glasses to be far superior in all lighting conditions..It is amber in color and actually in the night it enhances the contrast and seem to make the ambient brighter.it also kills glare,... and in day time it turns darker in sun light....Originally posted by Pinaki View PostYes I understand your requirement perfectly .. we all suffer from this problem .
