Taking to ASC always have an advantage of making them accountable to what they do just in case u r not satisfied you can write to HONDA MOTORCYCLES AND SCOOTERS INDIA CEO @ [email protected] and Operations head at [email protected] please use these as last resorts only guys!!!!
took it to the SC today. rameshap, you were spot on, man! the disk pads were eroded to the base plate. the guy first dismantled the disk setup, and showed me the disk pads. then when he brought the new pads, I was like this is how this looks like??!?!? anyway, now the disk is nice and soundless again. dont know if my problem #1 would also be solved by this..have to check it on monday. also had to change the brake oil too...as it leaked all over the disk when the changing process was going on. the disk was slipping at first for that oil, but i rode it around the neighborhood for 10-15mins, and things were back to normal...
happy now! thanks for the help guys...
Never be afraid to slow down. sigpic

      • Semi Long trip

Guys I finshed a semi long trip on Saturday from Nagpur to Ramtek 120 kms Return.. with my dad on pillion. After Nagpur limits to Kanhan the ride was bumpy very bad road but my dad said the suspension was excellent and he did not feel the bumps at all!!!!!! at 852 Km on odo bike hit reserve filled full tank and calculated milage 65kmpl with 99% city and 1% highway riding.. Guess decent enough .. for a city where you have a traffic light at every half a kilometer... My dads only complain was of the rear seat desgin and grab rail... I hit 70 with ease did not go above as still in runin period did 70 only for a while.. I guess the strech of four lane highway was long enough to hit 100 on speedo.. though the bike would have taken time. Never felt issue with back tire .. No complaints. Best part no vibs at all to higher speeds engine was responding like butter.. any suggestions/comments welcome

        • In my opinion the Suspention system works better with pillion as compared to single riding.bike feels less bumpy while passing through patholes.

Clocked 1036 Km on odo so far no complaints except for few gear slips... Guess will take care of those at the time of second service.... Weekend m going to try my friends 60/55 w bulb and see the results..... Will update the test results once I finish... .. What other routine maintanence check do you guys suggest pre ride every day... I do brakes, cluctch, Indicators, Headlamp, tyre pressure.. stopped doing engine oil daily and made is fortnightly....

            • Also Keep an eye on brake fluid level.

Guess your bike is AC and wont support 55/60W. Excess load will burn the coils.

I will be using CBR mostly for long runs in weekends. Day to day office commuting twister is the best. I still love my twister.. my first bike...
