LOL ,Without doubt !!!!! I would be feeling pity for the guy too ... had I not been harassed by my HeroHonda ASC for months .

Guys Mission acomplised...Cleaned the chain using Diesel and sprayed Motul chain lubricant.. over in flat 20 minutes... Now I can feel the diffrence while shifting gear Btw that oil mark has not come back now its more than 24Hrs I wiped it off...

personally i have this habit of trying to find new ways of doing things easily...recently this new idea came to mind of getting your chain cleaned without spending anything and more importantly without getting your hand dirty.
so here it goes.your old engine oil is still a good lubricant.one bottle of old engine oil is enough for over 4 months of chain lubrication.but to pour oil on to the chain you need special bottle so that your hand do not get dirty & not a single drop of oil is wasted.I have found an empty "EASY-OFF BANK" floor cleaner bottle best for putting oil on to the chain.it has a large nose and you are in complete control of amount of oil and direction of oil that flows out of this bottle.while putting oil,you will need to turn you rear wheel with one hand and pour oil on chain sprocket area where chain glides over the sprocket. Its possible to clean the chain by pouring lots and lots of old engine oil and while keep turning the wheel....engine oil being thin will mix with dirt and you will see black dirty oil flowing down from side stand. This way you can wash away at least 50% of dirt and 100% lubrication of chain..and once you ride the bike the remaining excess oil will flow down doing the work of self cleaning.big disadvantage of this method is that your bikes underside portion will get dirty due to this blackish dirty oil flowing down.secondly the old engine oil lasts around 150 km only and you will have to lubricate it frequently.try this if you are lazy Duck like me and don't want to spend on chain lubrication.
I don't agree to this. It's better if you use Lube spray. used engine oil contains metal parts, though micro mm large, can harm the chain.

Yes, it is dangerous to do so but I do it that way only. Actually when the chain is in motion, I clean only at the back where it has completely merged with the sprocket teeth rather so that there is no little chance of my hand/finger getting stuck. Personal way but yes you OUGHT to be 110% careful

metal parts in the form fine metal paste(like Colgate toothpast) are present during running in period but after 5k they are gone and even if they are then oil filter will do the job to filter them out.but if you have not cleaned/change oil filter then there are chances of metal particles finding its way in to oil....but hey in that case they will do more harm to the engine then chain....don't they? by the way i have personally checked the used oil as well as the oil filter and i dint find anything.secondly the chain anyway attracts road salt and dust which is equally harmful.Anyways..all i am saying is spray is definitely better then oil but if you dont want to spend on spray then do not run the chain dry...i mean something is better then nothing.Twister having open chain needs more frequent lubrication then other bikes with chain cover and sprays are not exactly cheap.

@Ramesh,do let let us know how long a bottle of chain spray normally lasts..will do some calculation and do capital investment in chain spray if necessary .

Not everyone's eyes , it seems . ( jus kidding ) But seriously , the nearer to the sprockets you go , riskier it gets .

By all means , any oil would do .. the point is to use a heavier stickier oil so that it lasts , at the same time penetrates into the chain rollers well .

motul's chain spray = 4-5 applications , 10 max if your are very frugal . Doesn't work out for me . Half liter bottle of castrol / British-Petroleum 90 gear oil costs around 100 Rs and lasts years . Moreover I need the same gear oil for oiling my oiled-foam air-filters and other parts of bikes like swing-arm bush, foot-rest joints,key-holes etc etc. My oil-can is always kept filled with it .

Adjust it by turning the adjusting nut . There should be one on it . Make sure it's not got water inside it or a loose contact . Check battery charge level .

                      • Honda's Next generation 125cc Engine!!

Honda has announced that it has developed a next generation 125cc engine that gives more power and 25% more mileage compared to present day 125cc engines. In other words if this engine is fitted on bikes like Shine,Stunner, glamour etc they would return mileage of almost 90kmpl along with more power.
so guys how about Twister 125cc with 13BHP and 90 kMPL?
I would say just add mono shock suspension and bigger Tyre to above, and it will be one hell of killer city bike.

Don't worry , with the pace any new tech is inducted into India .. it'll be time to sell this one by the time this new engine arrives here . I'll bet that thailand & malaysia shall get it before us .

Pinaki,If the product life cycle of Honda bikes is observed, generally it is updated every 10 years.for example engines of unicorn/CBZ/Hunk/dazzler are all basically same and they have not done changes to it for last 10 years.only cosmetic changes were done like adding digital console, new graphics, tail lamps etc.Now as per their claim..in this next generation engine the cylinder seats offset(i.e crankshaft seats offset)to make better use of combustion energy..thus more power is developed and energy lost due to friction is reduced by using rocker arm with roller bearings this together results in higher fuel efficiency. As far as i know these two things were first introduced in Twister/Activa 110cc engine where as other things like idel start/stop are new.
This is what i love the most about Honda..engines get more power along with more mileage.
I am sure they are now developing a new 150cc using same technology in their labs and we will see more powerful & more fuel efficient 150cc engine by next year. They will then put this engine against pulser150 engine which is getting ready with a new 4 valve engine(first introduced in Pulser 135).all in all it will be a good battle of new technology coming up in within next 2 years.
