The plug has different color in each Pic....but overall your bike seem to be running a rich AFR...you can adjust just 1/4 th turn to make it slightly lean.

Psr thanks for input.some of the pics were taken at night with light focused on to the spark and some during the day.guess that's why the pics look different.but yes overall AFR looks on richer side.
from what i have read,if bike runs on low speeds most of the time, then their are chances of deposits on spark, even though the mixture may not be rich.is this true?i have done mostly under 40 due to traffic conditions, hope that's not the reason for blackish spark color. i have already tried giving 1/4 th turn to make it lean, which resulted in initial pick up becoming bit low along with higher engine sound and idling also becomes unstable.anyway i will try with leaner AFR with slightly less than 1/4 turn & check the spark color along with engine response.

          • Psr,air filter is 6k old. I did not change air filter as it is in good condition.(its a viscous paper type filter, with approx.life span of 15k as given on manual)see page 45 for pics.

I have seen it...have you cleaned it with pressurized air ? why don't you change and see if it improves your FE.

              • I wanted to clean it but dint know how to do,also was not sure because manual says do not try to clean the filter as there is oil inside filter element which will go away & chances of paper getting damaged are there. I will try with a new new filter element soon, though mileage is preety good at this point.

                • Got my twister delivered

Guys I got my Twister [Candy Pal Green] delivered on 30th July 2011. Although not actively started riding it. I paid for a disc variant but the showroom manager coaxed and convinced me for a drum self and refunded the extra amount.

I had left geared biking for almost 7 years and now its not at all smooth.. Need advices kinda awkward after riding 4 wheeler all these years. Based at Nagpur Currently.. All Suggestions to boost confidence welcome

Hi remesh, well come to Twister forum.being lighter in weight than splendor and passion disk brake is not necessary, but self start is very much required as bike sometimes stops while you are weighting at traffic light.
well as far as confidence goes,it will come automatically as you ride and get used to toe shifter.around 1000km ride should make you confident. gear shifts tend to get bit harder and tricky initially but will get smoother after few oil changes.

Thanks Sachin!!! I got the bike to office today... Great Balance!!! Butter smooth gear shift my bike has now clocked 111kms.. I am riding at 40kmph or below unlike other cities Nagpur has got great roads and less traffic.. Today was raining heavily even with the wet road and thin tyre balance was excellent almost noiseless operation. My first service is between 15th or 30th August or 500 and 750 km whichever is earlier, I got a manual in Hindi its irritating.
I bought a gliders helmet. Also in nagpur 20w40 Honda oil is available. So I guess I will be using the same. Nagpur has extreme weather conditions in Summer and winter

If your FE is Good then you don't have to adjust anything. Just leave the settings as it is and enjoy the ride.

Hi Are there any known issues with Twister? I am trying to take all possible precautions and maintanace. Also everyday before I start I check basic like engine oil level, Brakes, clucth, indicators, headlights, tyre pressure, fuel level. IS there anything I am missing

                          • There are no issues as such with the bike.but few people had issues with gear slipping and battery problems which were rectified during the free service.Do follow the running properly for at least 2k,there should not be any issues.
no need to check oil level etc everyday.checks on Tyre pressure, oil level, and chain lubrication every 10-15 days is sufficient.

I wanted to buy Steel Bird Bieffe but here in nagpur dealers told it noy being shipped for last 3 years Is this true? I tried out 5-6 shops All had Studds, Gliders, Vega and some local brands.
