Actually planning to go for a bigger bike as i have grown tired of the 110cc engine.
Love my twister but just feel the 70-80 speeds are not enough esp when i am cruising on highways,
No expenses after the last sprocket change, bike is a gem, its a bliss to ride in the city. Just change engine oil at an interval of 2.5k kms
May be ill sell it off as i dont have enough space to park two bikes at home. (No call taken on the selling part yet.)
Welcome back....
btw Y sell ?? you can always keep her for incity fun. to swerve throuch tought congested traffic.. and use a higher cc for longer runs...
what are you planning to go for ? and how much do you think you will let her go for ?

hey baazi, welcome after long time. great to see twister going strong as you have almost reached 50k...i am curious to know your current fuel efficiency numbers at 49k on odometer.Originally posted by Baazigar View PostHi guys,

Bro painted parts if rusted, should be removed from rust totally before it should be painted. First again your should touch with zinc primer and then with paint. If the rust is not removed properly, it sits and rusts beneath the paint, you might have noticed rust lumps on old cars beneath the paint. Chrome parts are the difficult ones.. My silencer started rusting and I sanded it out and then repainted matte black as original honda was becoming kinda pale blue :-\ Now its fine.Originally posted by 2wtourer View PostGuys have any of you used any kind of rust remover or preventor ?

Yes bro, its right. Im a daily commuter for 60kms on this bike past 1 yr. Beginning, I used to drive at 50 and get mileages of 79-81 even considering the little bit of traffic and stock tyres. Now I ride between 50-55 but occational torquey take offs at green lights and get 70-75 without any probs with wider and grippier tyres. Also I noticed something big after I put on 100mm tyres. Earlier, my bike needed to go 6300RPM to hit 50kmph after I changed tyres, it needs just 5700RPM to hit 50!! (neglect the rpm accuracy, but the scaling is precise) The reason is that the new zapper tyres have more circumference and so the wheels need to spin a bit lesser to get the speeds. So lesser stress on the engine and I may even get more mileage, I just tested it on one trip, will confirm mileage after few rounds. Overall my points to better mileageOriginally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostFriends i've got a mileage of 83kmpl
in city driving on my bike for a 100rs petrol(1.39L covered 115kms) still it's not reached reserve so might-be it'll go some more 5 kms.I'll always check the mileage by reserve to reserve method only. Even all of you already knew that i've changed to wider tyre. This is all happened because of my changed driving style. Now a days i'm not at all going beyond 55 kmph even in empty road.. So guys who all are struggling in mileage issue try to change your ride style.
1. Accelerate from stops to speeds only at the rate which is not rash, simply twisting to full at start will drink your fuel, but you wont get the efficiency for the burned fuel.
2. Reach the highest gear as quick as possible once you start rolling but dont make it rash.
3. best mileage speeds on twister 45-55kmph
4. When you need to brake while rolling, try to avoid using brakes as much as possible, just release the throttle and you should get some engine braking. (needs a lot of practice)
5. Dont let your engine rpm curve go up and down, try to keep it at a constant without too much acceleration and too much braking. Maintaining a constant speed is more difficult that hitting 100+.
6. If you use too much braking, either you are too fast or you style needs to be changed

Finally i got covered 118kms by 100rs petrol(1.39L). So my mileage is 84.89kmpl.Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostFriends i've got a mileage of 83kmpl

yeah thats the pretty much the same setting on my bike , just that the idle(right screw) is tuned to lower the rpm way low to almost staling :P , and the fuel is a bit more rich toward "/" another 5degrees allows me to reach 100kmph with ease

rajaselvem, the right side is the idling screw(first two pics) and left side is the fuel screw(second two pics).my fuel screw is pretty much the same position as yours...but your idling screw position seems to have been set quite high. mine is set way less then yours. .that line on the idling screw where you place screw driver is showing in this \ way while mine is set in this / way....almost 90 degrees less. did you take that pic upside down?Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostThis is the carburetor screw setting in my bike. hey guys. many of us complaining of low mileage in city traffic must read this review. its all about riding condition and riding style that decides the mileage of a bike. check this splendor v/s dream yuga mileage test using 100 Rs petrol. dream yuga has Twister engine hence almost the same mileage.

I recently completed the third service, but after the service, my bike is wobbling at slow speeds during the turn. Checked the tire pressure and the wheel alignment. Took back to the service but those guys say that is normal. But before the service it was good. I am not sure whether it is problem with the handle or tyre, any suggestions ?

i think i understand what you mean. i too had a similar feeling earlier.. only that your is during turns whereas i used to feel it at speeds as well.. more of a fish tail like effect...Originally posted by gopinathann View PostI recently completed the third service, but after the service, my bike is wobbling at slow speeds during the turn. just check the rear brake ply.. if too tight it does cause a slight sway towards the right , which while turning amplifies the effect... also ensure the rear wheel is evenly aligned and that the bolts are evenly spaced at both ends of the swing arm...
also check the handle bar .. put the bike on center stand and place weight on the bike rear such that the front wheels raise off the ground a bit(no contact) then try to steady the handle bar evenly balanced .,it should not hold and should freely move to either end .. if it tend to hold its position then the fault is here and you need to get this fixed.. the handle bar should be able to steer freely..

I never touched any screws, till now it's stock setup/ But i never felt any ideal issue.Originally posted by sachin1111 View Postrajaselvem, the right side is the idling screw(first two pics) and left side is the fuel screw(second two pics).my fuel screw is pretty much the same position as yours...but your idling screw position seems to have been set quite high. mine is set way less then yours. .that line on the idling screw where you place screw driver is showing in this \ way while mine is set in this / way....almost 90 degrees less. did you take that pic upside down?
The same problem i'm also facing but not continuous one some times only. Check your wheel alignment, alloy bend & air pressure.Originally posted by gopinathann View PostI recently completed the third service, but after the service, my bike is wobbling at slow speeds during the turn. I'm having doubt on your bike handle bar, it may got bend in service center because in most of the Honda service center they are treating the bike very worst. Even they are doing some stunts using our bikes, I've seen this directly inside the Honda service center when i went to give my bike service. By seeing this i took my bike back without giving to service. This is happened when i went for second free service. After that i never went to service center side.
Even today i got changed my bike air filter myself. Costs me only 80rs.
