Yes, the same. Same suggession as Rajaselvam said. In heavy traffic, this thing will be a heavy battery drainer as HID is like tubelights, they need a ballast to start and can only work at steady voltage, so we can only connect it to battery and not direct to alternator as our stock headlight is. So 35W at 13V is less than 3A and a 4A battery will drain in less than 1hr if you are stuck in traffic. If that is ok, you can go ahead with it. Wouldnt be much of a problem when most of the time bike is running I guess.

The Headlight switch will be rewired and angel eyes will run simply with key on engine off and headlights will come on with key on engine off headlight switch on only..Originally posted by bulletnjeep View PostWe don't have traffic jams where I'm from.
It'll turn on with a switch or with key-in-engine-off?

those holes may be for the venting but they dont work as such , this is because of the sponge and adhesive put which kindof blocks it, you can pretty well place lights in them. I have drilled those holes to make them bigger and put LEDs.. i guess you would have seen my pilot lamp pics.Originally posted by joseph.alukka View PostI would reccommend not to fit parking lights in them. They are breather holes. WHen the headlamp lights up, the moisture inside needs to go out and hot air escapes always through the top. Else your glasses will start to get a patch like stuff due to moisture. That is why the hole has 2 rubber tubes bent downwards on the other side.. to prevent water getting in but to let mositure and hot air out.. Blocking it is not a good idea..
Since i put the lights in those holes i have driven in heavy rain, washed ins and out of the bike, yet no issues of fogging or water..
so its safe to close up that hole for other use

no no lies there , some electricians/mechanics do it that way, ie cutting the lamp, a projector HID is way bulky than regular ones so it needs more space.Originally posted by bulletnjeep View PostYeah today i went to teh best electrician we've in my city. :sigh: And i was disappointed. I thought he'd tell me what I wanted to know but he was so limited.
I asked him about teh HID kit and angel eyes. Ho jaega, he replied. I asked him about the money he said max 1.5K. Then i asked him about Projector light and his expression was like I've asked him to put a 500w halogen bulb in my twister! He said Ho jaega but its very risky. First we've to cut teh headlamp assembly and put teh projector light in it and fix the glass again. I think he was lying. :/
Now I'm thinking to get it done from Delhi or Jaipur.
ONe way is to just place inside the headlamp assembly, which honestly doesnt really look that great and you can see the entire projector , and the other is to cut the headlamp dome such that the projector front sits flush against the end given a bulb like effect yet being perky. the latter method is what looks great.
SO what find out what the elec. plans to do and ask him to get a flush mount done.

I thought about drilling it from the outside look initially, but then when I saw this, I dropped the plans. I dont wanna risk on night time visibility for a simple led, so I instead put it as a strip outside after waterproofing with hotglue. Your's might be fine now, but headlamp might be overheating which you wont be able to detect now. Anyways, if it works for you keep it.

Painted black to make it look cooler and like an aftermarket stuff rather than modded original headlight. Apart from flush mounting by cutting the reflector, you can also normal mount and then place a moulded panel over it to look like flush mount..
This is flush mount without black reflector and black moulded panel.
Normal mount with mould it looks like this
A very few ppl know how to mould, so better black paint it after flush mounting.
