      Query Approved.

I have observed vibrations past 80 KMPH on the Stunner, but not to make one aghast, but negligible for a 125cc. But these again are vibrations induced due to engine revving, which is completely normal.

Secondly, check for the oil grade, poor grade oils will induce vibrations. I reckon your bike has munched in some miles, but if it's brand new or munched miles for that matter check for all the engine bolts and plastic fairing stay screws, nuts etc to be tightened which is a standard procedure. The problem is that plastic parts do get loosened over time, so periodic inspection is recommended.Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      THE END

Thanks a lot for the reply you guys, my bike is quite new has covered only 3k till now, vibrations past 80 kmph is totally acceptable but, but like I said before, my bike vibrates at 50 kmph, vibes do settle in little bit when I go past 50 kmph, but still are evident enough while riding, I don’t often go past 60 kmph, neither do I like to rev my little Honda, I like to cruise around 45 – 50 kmph, but these vibrations just irritate me.

I have been using the Honda oil which has been recommended in the owner’s manual, and have change the engine oil thrice, and I was also keen on switching to motul or Castrol. Please let me know what should I choose and the price of your recommended oil.

I haven’t checked for tire alignment though, I will check and report back to you guys, I haven’t really noticed any vibrations or loose sounds from fairing, the SVC guys have claimed to have checked the fairings and the engine mounts after the last service, which was like....a week back.

                    Hi Guys,

I have a 2009 Stunner, has run 49k kms. Since past few months, I notice that the engine oil has been depleting severely. There is no black smoke or leak from anywhere around the engine. I service my bike at a local mechanic shop and he said the clutch plate seems to have worn out, hence replaced it. After the servicing, I monitored oil level and it seems like engine is drinking engine oil along with petrol . I had run only 500kms after the service and the level was below the dipstick, so dipstick didn't show anything. I took it took my mechanic again and he said it could be because of bore. He says it needs replacement. I had searched through these forums and found that piston rings could also be a problem. When I told him that, he said will have to replace them anyway along with the bore.

So what could be causing the engine oil depletion so fast? Does the bore need replacement after 48k kms?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

                      Some updates....

I finally changed the handle bar from stock to splendor's. Had to make some small changes to that and now the sitting position is perfect. No back problems so far and back is a lot straighter than what it was earlier. Have ridden about 100kms and no backache.

Got new tyres for both wheels. MRF tubeless for both and cost me Rs.3800 total. Ride is a lot smoother and grippy too.

Next change are the clutch plates due on Monday. Looks like the chain is still going strong at 45k kms and might last for another 2k kms. This bike just seems going without a fuss. Some pics later in the day.

Resonance vibration.. Thats the term. In stunner it's present at 5k rpm to 5.5krpm. Which translate to 50kph to 55 or 57kph for stock stunner.
Its not a problem, that's just how the bike is.
Stay below 50 or upwards 60kph and u will notice lesser vibrations.
Regarding oils, try motul, shell, valvoline, gulf or veedol. These are much better oils then Castrol or honda oils

Any pointer to this about low fuel economy... Is it bec of oil.... ????

An advice pls... Today will use another petrol pump to check the same.

do not use 15w50, as i recommend w50 weight is very heavy, oil must be light enough to lubricate the wall of the cylinder where the piston moves, this why you are getting low milage, same happened with me i used 15w50 castrol power1, but now using castrol power1 10w30 as recommended in owner\'s manual, engine is butter smooth at even 115kmph it goes upto 121kmph on NH2
